Nothing. He is CEO.

Why are you guys so keen to keep giving OGS jobs he's not qualified for ?

Whether the team is weaker or not is debatable, three positions are stronger.
And it is an unknown whether Ole is responsible for all the departures.
Also unknown is if he was involved in the Maguire fee.

Who would lose their place in the current set up then?

I presume the scouts identify the players needed, they pass the details to Matt Judge, who goes to the manager, then Ed signs the cheques?

Would Ole just slot in between the manager and Ed?

Who loses their current responsibility, or are we just adding another step into an already failing process?

Because his CV is utter b0ll0x, and he's been near on catastrophic as a manager in English football.
In the real world, he'd be lucky to get a job in the championship.
You boys have lost the plot big time when it comes to all things OGS.
Bin him, sell Pogba, and start rebuilding you club properly, otherwise you'll be in no man's land for another 7 years at this rate.

In what way has James made our left side stronger?

You also seem to be ignoring the players that have left too which have to been taken into account if you want to discuss whether the squad has improved or not.

So bad manager means he cant GK what we eed from a DOF (go between board and manager, assist with player recruitment)

The squad has improved because we have brought in 3 players better than what we had AND got rid of some we didnt want.

We may not have wanted a player like Lukaku but letting him go and not replacing him has made us far weaker and was very naive. Also losing Herrera and not replacing him was a huge mistake.

There’s a reason why we’ve started so badly this season, because our squad is weaker.

The Director of Football is not just responsible for player transfers he/she has to do so much more. That person must have the club's unforseeable future in mind (not 5 years, 10 years - but indefinitely). Every decision is based on the clubs vision, not the currect manager. DoF are specialised individuals who are the best in class in that role. You cant just put someone in whohasnt done it before (managing the first team does not make you qualified). City made sure to get the best one in Txiki or Soriano. Borussia Dortmund are the same; same goes for the like of Redbull, Porto, Benfica, Athletico etc. The clubs serious about it, get the best DoF, not just someone the fans love that will appease them.

They have to do so much more, and yet you cant say what exactly that entails apart from a vague reference to the future, which is mostly about player recruitment anyway.

No, we don't all know Ole is not good enough. He may not be but it's too soon to say.
I ignore all comments from fans of other clubs, they don't go to our matches, and most are on the wum, and they enjoy seeing us like this after SAF.
Every man and his dog said it would take time after Jose, but now won't give him time.
One window ànd most are content with the buys, a dozen games, plenty of injuries, but Ole must be fired.

Just because you don’t doesn’t mean the rest of us don’t. The bloke has been in the job for nearly a year as well. Hardly too soon.
