VOF, I've never said they don't and I've never said he doesn't put a lot in.
What I'm saying is that there aren't enough goals in teh side and I would have preferred to still have Roofe in squad, with Nketiah as an addition.
Those defences that win you titles are normally in sides that score plenty of goals too, we really have to fix that.
No denying we need more goals. In an ideal world yes, i'd still have Roofe to call on, as well as Eddie.
Roofe situation came as a result of us buying a central attacking player from the lower leagues and then sticking him on the wing for 2 seasons where he was ineffective. Back then the talk was of how much we had been ripped off on his £3m transfer fee! I wore the skin off my fingertips stating he was not a winger.
Bielsa then plays him centrally and starts the season on fire but now his contract is down to 18 months and we have signed another striker he is out performing whos getting paid twice as much and now wont sign unless his wages are doubled.
