Interesting Lukaku is top on expected goals in Serie A and Rashford is top of the PL on expected goals as in players who had the most chances to score. Why we sold Lukaku and not replaced him and now miles off top 4 due to that decision is a decision that has most likely cost us top 4. Everyone knew Rashford is not a lethal striker. Left us with only Martial as lethal striker and he was out injured so we had one of the worst strikers in the PL for finishing leading the line.
End result Solskjaer looks clueless as we can’t score and mainly due to Rashford.

Martial blowing cold is still better than anything else we have. He also makes us a dynamic team.
Its funny Martial can’t get into France squad while Rashford is a regular for England. Martial is like one of the best finishers Man Utd had and naturally gifted strikers we had. Rashford is one of the worst in both regards. Football a funny old game. Even Young mentioned the fact how Martial can’t get in.

That’s not better than anything, I’m not going to make excuses for a player with so much talent but occasionally so little application
Interesting last season out most clinical player was Martial. Pogba Lukaku Rashford all scored less than expected. Martial scored more than expected by 2 goals. Not only that but when Martial players we seem to dominate most games.

This season he's been very consistent.
Definitely seems to be finally maturing a bit.
I noticed he really seemed to give a shīt today too. Visibly frustrated with Rashford and Periera a few times when they played a wrong ball.
Doesn't seem much but for someone who normally seems quite apathetic, I think it was great to see.

He’s been playing a lot better through the middle than expected. Still needs to improve, but it’s good to have him back and contributing. Both him and Rashford play a lot better when they are starting together, so hopefully they can continue to improve their chemistry abd gain more consistency. Having Pogba back would be a massive bonus as well. A lot of our problems have been of Ole’s making, but it can’t be underestimated how much we miss Martial and Pogba.
Our win rate with him in the team, under Ole, is really good. He just brings out the best in those around him, even when he’s not scoring.
Shame he got injured when he did, but onwards and upwards.

A fan but he needs to up his work rate tremendously! He also gives up the ball way too easily too often as well. Has tools to be too class but he needs more aggression in his game...

Ehem...
I've been banging that 'Martial's best position long term is through the middle' drum for a while and he's really kicking on in that position now. Especially given how poor the supply line has been. I really hope Pogba gets given license to cause damage from the most advanced midfield position rather than in the 'two' because our forwards will get better service than from Pereira (who's effort I can't fault, but the killer quality in attack just isn't there).
I still think he’s better out wide, but he’s done better through the middle than I expected. Mainly with his hold up play. Still lacks the dynamism, movement and physicality of a top striker, but there’s been progress at least.
