Yep I didn't realise how brutal their December is. I think the quality of teams they face maybe balances out the quantity of teams we face!

Yoda the plastic isn't taking this very well.

It is funny how many non city fans are crying as if their team lost.

VAR probably got the first two goals right

But, the length of time deliberating it was ridiculously short compared to games even played today so it just looked like they didn’t even bother to check.

The salad ‘offside’ was super close just like Sheffield United’s but took no time at all to give it as opposed to 5 mins yesterday

Then they released a statement saying they didn’t award the penalty against TAA because it wasn’t deliberate, that isn’t the rule anymore...

VAR really needs sorting because it has potential but it’s just more inconsistent than humans right now

That will be because neither Moss nor Atkinson were anywhere near it today.

Hardly, if they had said we aren’t giving the pen because Silva handles it then fair enough but to use “not deliberate” isn’t the rule any more

And even Sky’s attempt at a line was hilarious and roundly mocked.

IMO both decisions probably right as the attacker should get benefit of the doubt in close offside calls but can’t say it was consistent with other games today

Deliberate is still the law. They have just added to it, clarified the criteria. Their explanation was that it didn't meet the criteria for a deliberate handball.

If it is not in a natural position and impedes its a handball nothing about deliberate is needed at all these days

When it is not in a natural position then that part of the criteria is used to determine whether it was deliberate.

They don't use the dictionary definition. They have criteria and guidance for deciding whether it is deliberate.

Many things are taken into account to determine this, distance, time to react, deflections etc. It still has to be deliberate, just not in the literal sense.

This was always the case, otherwise you'd rarely have any penalties for handball. Majority aren't deliberate.

Salah was clearly onside.

The lino gave him on.

The computer showed he was within a second for two.

Unlike firmino who was also onside in this case no human needed to hack the system to change the result to bavk the officials

It would be hilarious if it wasn't true.

This seems to happen every match day. Different decisions for similar incidents

VARs biggest issue is a lack of consistency.

100% agree that’s where the frustration comes from

As a United fan id love to say both goals shouldn’t of counted but they should but as you say VAR is just like a cr@p shoot these days

City had plenty of time to recover from the handball, they conceded because of shoddy defending and a great Fabinho strike.

The offside was clear and obvious, strange that one from VAR.

Eh? He was clearly and obviously onside.

I don't understand the fuss. It was one of the few times VAR has worked properly this season. The referee didn't deem it as handball - I disagree with him but he decided it - and it was not a clear and obvious mistake. And the "offside" was not offside.

Where I have problems is when Deulofeu gets hauled down against Spurs and the decision is not overturned or Dele Alli's handball or a few of the decisions going against Arsenal.
