Levy is a very good chairman but he's not perfect.

Communication with the fans could certainly be better and the timing of the sale of Dembele was unacceptable with no intention to bring in a replacement.

The summer of no spending was also not acceptable although i am aware that transfers are handled by a committee, of which Poch is a member, not just Levy.

Poch is becoming a massive problem. Any sympathy one might have for him due to lack of signings is eroding as he is quite simply not helping himself with awful chat in the press for about 7 months now, plus lack of identity in his team which is underperforming terribly.

i don't care if we don't sign a player for 5 years... if we put out a team of the quality that we do, we should be expecting better than 25 points from 24 games or whatever it is.

Alarmingly i heard a stat that in AVBs final 25 games for spurs, he got 20 more points than Poch has got in his last 25 games... that is very, very concerning.

That bald fraud is part of the problem. You'll soon find that out in January.

Levy has been faced with this dilemma before. In 2007/08 we hadn’t started well under Martin Jol and levy had the dilemma of whether to stick with him or sack him. He chose the latter, and ended up paying about £30m to Seville to acquire Juande Ramos.

Despite the 2008 Carling Cup win on the whole that appointment turned out to be a disaster.

I’m not saying he shouldn’t dismiss the idea of sacking Poch, but he needs to be very careful with his next move.

Spurs could easily be in the bottom 3 by Christmas given our form and upcoming fixtures.

I would feel more confident about us turning things around if we were playing well but getting a bad break/ being unlucky BUT Right now were playing terribly and lucky to be getting what we have. Sheff United were by far the best team & deserved more than a draw as did Watford. Poch and Levy must be grateful for the mess down the road they asthey are stealing a lot of the negative press we deserve

There's another manager who never got it all his own way as far as signings from Levy.

Had bad luck as well as good luck. The Son sending off and the ruled out goal at Leicester. Plus injuries to our new players who are about the only ones giving any damn at this point.

no manager will get it all their own way because that's not how it works. every manager always wants to spend more.

poch got the players he wanted this summer, and they cost huge money

Who do you want in Sandy?

Imo Rodgers is the only realistic manager we could get in (would have to wait until the summer) who i would be comfortable with.

Jose is broken and Allegri is an unknown quantity over here (although i admit his record is impressive)

All fair points but this isn't turning around, its only a matter of time... Just boils down to how far Levy is willing to let us fall before pulling the trigger. A couple more losses.. West Ham, United & god forbid Bournemouth will pretty much rule out Europe next year and then a whole new set of problems arise

Not all managers get the players they wans but this is a recurring theme at Spurs under Levy. AVB certainly views the mess under him as Levy's fault.

These next set of fixtures will give Poch a real chance to turn things around and get a run going and build confidence, so we shall see. To be honest if we lose the next game to West Ham then his position may almost be untenable anyway.

whoever we get is not gonna be a big name as Levy wont allow himself to be bent over a barrel like Poch is doing to him right now. It will be someone like Howe. Wont be a guy that needs huge resources. Rodgers wont leave Leicester for us. That team is gonna be good for another couple of years and has a better chance of winning something than we do. They do things the right way, good scouting, good ownership.... A lot to like about them

Other than that Its gonna be another foreign manager who might look at Spurs as a step up... Much like Poch did

We got our first away win in between though. No mid-week game before West Ham, and a team in poor form unlike Sheff United. Simply have to win it and show that with the newer players the Belgrade win wasn't just a fluke. And if Poch isn't playing those newer players and we lose then I might well be in the "Poch out" camp.

no more of a chance than the last 10 that have been a disaster.... You can't keep moving the goalposts. The reason he hasn't been sacked isn't his ability to turn things around (we're past that) its the size of his pay-off

Yes but now we have the newer players available whereas they weren't before when we had those chances to turn form around.

What I'm hoping is that the Sheff United performance is just a blip in a good run starting with the win at Belgrade. If not then there probably isn't any hope left with Poch.
