Worked for the increase in ticket prices for us, even though we then lost the game.

Pretty unacceptable to do it because of a manager though. Shocking fans.

This is going beyond being "because of a manager". It's a combination of:
1. The quality of football considering the players we have
2. The results
3. The expected results based on the two points above
4. The fact that the expectation is growing that we won't make the Europa League let alone the CL after spunking out all that money on players just to do that.
5. The utter tripe the manager comes out with to try and excuse the poor performances and his inexplicable tactics or line ups
6. The fact that the club's management do not anticipate making changes meaning / suggesting all the above is going to continue.

I feel I may have missed one...

1. The quality of football considering the players we have

I'm sorry aside of Lacazette and Aubameyang, your squad really is pretty meagre. It's Liverpool of a few seasons ago, a great strikeforce but nothing behind it to get results.

2. The results

You're 6th in the league, around the same place you've finished for the past few seasons, why should you suddenly be doing better?

3. The expected results based on the two points above

Isn't this exactly the same point as 'the results'

4. The fact that the expectation is growing that we won't make the Europa League let alone the CL after spunking out all that money on players just to do that.

Expectations growing is the fans' fault not the club's.

5. The utter tripe the manager comes out with to try and excuse the poor performances and his inexplicable tactics or line ups

This one is fair.

6. The fact that the club's management do not anticipate making changes meaning / suggesting all the above is going to continue.

Because managers can't turn things around in five minutes. Did you really expect to replace your manager who was there for more than 20 years and turn it around in the matter of a couple of seasons?

Strikes me more as entitlement of the fans than mismanagement of the club.

It was never the whole ground. And it only grew after the player reacted in the way he did.

Were there elements that were unfair to him? Undoubtedly so. But fans boo players. It's happened and it will happen again. It only becomes the issue we now face if the reaction is akin to what Xhaka did... so it's a little silly for you to suggest what you are.

1. The quality of football considering the players we have

I'm sorry aside of Lacazette and Aubameyang, your squad really is pretty meagre. It's Liverpool of a few seasons ago, a great strikeforce but nothing behind it to get results.

MP:
Pepe
Guendouzi
Torreira
Tierney
Bellerin
Holding
Willock

All very good players.

2. The results

You're 6th in the league, around the same place you've finished for the past few seasons, why should you suddenly be doing better?

MP: Doing the same would be acceptable before doing better. We are currently failing to beat teams we've historically beaten. And this is in a period with an easy run of games (much like the end of last season). With things being as they are and not looking like they're changing, it's difficult to see how, going into Dec with games against Pool, City, Chelsea and Utd coming over the Xmas period, how this could improve

3. The expected results based on the two points above

Isn't this exactly the same point as 'the results'

MP: You can't differentiate between the past and the future? Really?

4. The fact that the expectation is growing that we won't make the Europa League let alone the CL after spunking out all that money on players just to do that.

Expectations growing is the fans' fault not the club's.

MP: The club set the expectation. For example, they set out that Emery's objective is to get top 4. They now back in 100% despite the results that have seen us win 2 games in the last 11. Try again.

5. The utter tripe the manager comes out with to try and excuse the poor performances and his inexplicable tactics or line ups

This one is fair.

MP: You're too kind.

6. The fact that the club's management do not anticipate making changes meaning / suggesting all the above is going to continue.

Because managers can't turn things around in five minutes. Did you really expect to replace your manager who was there for more than 20 years and turn it around in the matter of a couple of seasons?

MP: He's had a season and a half not 5 minutes. Again... try again.

Strikes me more as entitlement of the fans than mismanagement of the club.

MP: You mean the fans shouldn't want the best? I cite your own club as an example again. I don't see why it's okay for Liverpool fans to bang on in their lean years about the glory days, how good they were and where they deserve to be yet other clubs are entitled for wanting the same for themselves. Grow up.

Even Wenger admitted he stayed at least two seasons too long. Was it fair what fans did? Probably not. But in the end, was it right? Yes. Additionally, what happened to Wenger has no bearing on what's going on now except that this board and this manager are chitting on Wenger's legacy. So why should we hold on to him?

PS. What's Spurs got to do with this?

I just think it's ridiculous that you expect to do much better after Wenger and his 20 year philosophy which will be ingrained in all areas of the have left.

Will take years for a new philosophy to work, look at how badly United have floundered after getting rid of Fergie, why do you expect Arsenal to do so much better?

posted on 11/11/19

Any protest that does not have a sizeable impact on the club's finances would be a waste of time.
However, the sight of seeing 10,000 - 15,000 supporters camping out on the pitch before a game might be interesting to see? Would take a lot of stewards/police to remove them!

Again, I said the same would be a good start.
Re: Utd, they picked the wrong manager and when they realised that, they changed him. Leicester has done the same... 8 managers since 2015 I believe. Now look where they are. Same with Liverpool... you went through After Rafa, you went to Woy. Didn't work out so you went to Sir Kenny. He was rubbish so you got Brendan. He was almost but not quite and now you have Klopp. How can you support a team that does what it needs to to succeed (and is by all accounts getting it right) yet criticise fans of another team who want the same? I'm genuinely confused by that...

There's a difference between Moyes / Hodgson etc than Emery who is proven. The issue with the former two was being employed by United / LFC was the high point in their career, for Emery he actually has achievements to boast about.

I think all fans expect their manager to be the next Klopp or Guardiola but they are the two best in the world - ridiculous to expect the same from Emery and booing and jeering is not exactly going to create a culture of success.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is proven about Emery? In league finishes, apart from PSG, his average is about 5th- 7th. His win ratio, again excluding PSG (because even I could win the league with PSG) is about 50%. So what exactly are you basing him being proven on? The Europa League? He sacrificed league success for that... I'm not sure that's the measure of a good manager.

Do I want Arsenal to succeed? Of course. It's not about wanting a Klopp or a Pep. It's not about expecting Emery to be the same as those two either (why do you keep going back to this in different forms... it's starting to get tired, mate). It's about wanting a manager who's going to stop the rot, as Ace of space mentioned, and build on the foundations that are there. That's why I say I would like to start with stabilising things first. But it goes beyond that... you mentioned Auba and Laca as being our only two good players. Guess which two players are now in their last 18 months of their contracts. Guess which two players want CL football. So guess which two players will be first out of the door if we don't get that. Then where will Arsenal be...? But you think Arsenal fans should be happy with that. I think you should stick to your club and your impending EPL trophy, which, if you win it, is thoroughly deserved.
