The thing is they will justify most of the very clear errors and only admit to a couple.

Liverpool are top of the league, of course it is working well.

That's out of character for you, Billy.

If by justify you mean hide behind clear and obvious then yeah its theyve got every decisions correct in their minds hiding behind that.

It's a complete shambles and takes away far more than it gives. The sheffield United goal at the weekend was a shambles. Took so facking long to see a bloke was apparently a cm offside 10 seconds before the goal. Nobody in the stadium had a clue what was going on. How anyone can think something like that is acceptable is beyond me.

Only good use i can remember is Aubameyang at United, where a horrendous decision was overturned. That's what it's for.

I assume he means that around 7/10 matches aren’t being ruined by it?

And again, technology is fine it's the refs and operators that are not.

looks like hes trying his hardest to stop himself bursting out laughing and rolling on the floor for the first minute of the interview. Says theyve been working on it 3 years and gives it 7ish out of 10

watch the video, is it just me or is he on the verge of pissing himself with laughter?

I gave up on it when Kane was taken out at waste height in the box against Newcastle and it wasn't overturned. Bad enough that it was missed in real time but how somebody could watch that back and not see that its a blatant penatly is beyond belief.

The head of a system that keeps making bad calls, makes a bad call about his system. You couldn't make it up.

its a shame the interviewer didnt pull up a massive replay reel of clear and obvious errors theyve ignored and grilled him on how earth theyve been deemed to not be clear and obvious errors.

Yes and don`t forget Dele being rugby tackled in the box at The Degenerates, again the clearest pen you will ever see not given.

I assume he’s started his xmas drinking early then.

I’m a fan of VAR, i think the technology can improve the game. I’m not a fan of what I’ve seen so far. It’s been a shambles.

posted on 11/11/19

I wouldn't call 7/10 good, needs improvement, 9/10 would be good

7/10 ffs

3/10 is more accurate.

Chuck VAR in the bin.

The problem for these hopeless dinosaurs is that VAR does nothing but highlight how poor they are at refereeing. The technology isn't the problem, it's the same problem we've had for decades - dodgy, low quality refs and the tech is simply magnifying that problem.

So the incident at Sheff Utd highlighted poor officiating, did it?

Which incident?

Think you've misunderstood the point anyway.

These refs are often taking an absolute age using multiple replays and angles only to call a poor decision. Some of these decisions aren't difficult, the blokes looking at the replays are just clueless, it actually helps explain why there were so many poor decisions before VAR - the refs struggle with the basics

It was a joke based on her known shortcomings in math. As for getting on in life, good luck to her, I am happy with my lot but surprised that you, as a Marxist, judge someone's worth by what they earn.

The offside - sorry, at Spurs not Sheff Utd.

Surely it's the technology that is causing them to take so long?

That decision was difficult because they're trying to draw lines on a screen with freeze frame.

In fairness that is a tech problem, the line drawing thing really seems silly and slow. Surely markers by the sides of the pitch can be installed and you then draw a line from one to the other and work back from that?

My comment refers to the multitude of very dodgy calls (pathetically inaccurate calls IMO) that refs have made even after watching clear replays several times.
