I realised a while ago that TOOR never, ever budges from his entrenched view - even if there is overwhelming evidence to prove him wrong, he just digs his heels in.

Yeh, that's my guess as well.

I suppose a lot of people confuse debating/arguing something for a long period of time with never being able to take on board an alternative opinion.

Funny thing is, I remembered that it's not too long ago that I apologised to Robbing when I'd made a mistake.

I've seen TOOR change his views/ admit he was wrong before though. More than once so I guess you can understand why some people, like you, have those beliefs about posters if they have never actually seen it with their own eyes?
