Howe would probably be fine but I doubt he'd take Spurs any higher than Pochettino has. He'd be a steady Eddie. I mean, it's in the name.

Nagelsmann would be the riskier bet - could be a masterstroke, could be a disaster.

Think you're 100% right. None of us know whether a new appointment will be a success... Lets be honest, was anyone that overwhelmed when we hired Poch ??? I know I wasn't. I think Eddie Howe has done a good job at Bournemouth, who's to say he couldn't take the next step with a club like Spurs with bigger resources and better players ???? Rogers almost took Liverpool to a league title having moved up from Swansea & is now doing the same at Leicester and Lampard is doing well with a bunch of talented kids with only 1 years worth of experience at Derby..... Doesn't always need to be the "big name"

What seems clear is that the board want a yes man or someone who can definitely work to constraints that some managers would refuse.

------------------

you say this immediately after saying that the board wanted Van Gaal, who is hardly a yes man....

total contradiction within a couple of lines

Let`s be fair any current manager would do a better job than Pochettino currently is.

Nobody knows how a new manager would do Nobody knew before Pochettino arrived. He may have completely flopped. He was basically untried and untested, so what is to say a manager from a so called smaller club would not come in and do a better job.

The only thing that is certain, that a change of manager has to happen, however it pans out.

It’s funny, I used to think it was Arsenal fans who were the most moany, fickle and entitled.

Seems I was wrong about that.

They are, but that don`t mean Spurs fans just accept the current unacceptable situation that is unfolding at Spurs. Only a complete idiot would accept the car crash that is currently happening at WHL.

I am sure you are not an idiot though Sizzle.

LVG most likely wouldn't have been as demanding as Mourinho. Probably could have worked with what he was asked to by ENIC. But I could be wrong.

The ability to work with constraints remarks is due to what has become evident over the last couple of years.

Not sure why you keep complaining about other peoples opinions... Its what makes it interesting. Doesn't change the results on the pitch which is all that matters... Everyone is entitled their own

No, an idiot would just want to get rid of their manager in November with no clear back up plan or suitable replacement.

Poch will not be sacked. The only way out is if someone wants him in January and are prepared to pay at least some of his contract at Spurs off. Nothing against Levy but he strikes me as the kind of man that would cut his nose off to spite his face. In other words, he would rather keep Poch unless at least part of his outstanding contract were paid off by the new suitor whereas many Spurs fans just want him to sod off with contracts torn up.

If things do get unsavoury between the two - which I don’t believe they have, mutual termination would be the most likely outcome. I think no matter what Poch deserves to January at the very least to move us up the table.

Na I reckon Pochettino will be at Spurs till death and then cloned to continue thereafter.

Levy sees us as a business and treats us as such, as long as he is making money he is happy, regardless of trophies. Poch has taken us to Enic's ceiling, we'll never stop the last few years under Enic, with or without Poch.

New owners is what needs to happen, otherwise we will just go around in circles making money for Levy and win fack all.

agree with pretty much all of that

the model is making money, keeping us competitive and if we win something along the way, that's an added bonus

Spurs just arent an attractive proposition for a coach though
u don't spend a lot of money so alot of work needs to be done at the club, the fans are hostile, i doubt you lot will give the coach time to rebuild

troubling times ahead.

you will be limited to coaches like Dyche and Eddie Howe, i think Dyche would be great for spurs personally.
Another Alternative is someone like Stevie Gerrard, doing well at Rangers. maybe a move for him in the summer would be good ?
