I agree, we'll have to show signs of improvement before the next season for it to be worth carrying on with Poch. If he is at all given some backing in January, and I'll believe that when I see it, then he should be capable of not only improving our form from that point onwards but also giving us a chance of having a decent next season. If not then he'll have to go.

I just can't see us putting a crazy run together of like 10 wins out of 13

at the same time, I just can't see any of the other lot capitulating in the way we seem to do so brilliantly at varying times of seasons in years gone by

we;re just such a disappointing team and club to support

i just see this season and probably next as a complete write-off

even if we went in to January transfer window and did EXACTLY the business we should

nah

I'm off the opinion Poch out based on results , I also believe he is capable of turning it around provided he is allowed to get did of the dead wood and backed properly by Levy.

Good article OP, but there is no way Pochettino should be given until the end of the season, that is another six months, and going by the form of the last nine months, that would in all probability mean come May Spurs would be in the Championship next season.

It isn`t going to turn around, if it was, it would have by now, just six wins in 24 games I think it is with a squad of seasoned Internationals shows it has gone disastrously wrong, and a change has to be made now.

I would sooner take my chances with a new manager, then heading only one way come May, if Pochettino stays in place and that is relegation.

Sandy, you do realise you can make an opinion without exaggerating and taking everything to one extreme or the other? Spurs will not be relegated.

The same way they weren't title favourites when you thought we'd win the league. Have consideration for options inbetween A-Z and you might be a bearable poster.

Two league wins over the spanner’s and Bournemouth after the international break and many will cheer up again.

poch deserves our backing until the end of the season in my opinion

let's hope he can ship out some of the players out that clearly don't give a feck in the january window

we need to start winning games tho that's for sure

What do we have at Spurs:

A top class coach who is proven at PL and European level, and who has turned water into wine on a shoestring budget compared to most of his rivals.

A chairman who is an excellent businessman, but so tight he could peel an orange in his pocket, and who has failed to back a succession of managers sufficiently at vital times.

Owners who see us as a business and way of making money, they are not bothered about trophies as long as the pound notes keep flooding in.

Players in the squad who want to be elsewhere and other players who are no longer wanted or not good enough any more.

For me, we back our excellent coach and rebuild. Any new coach will need the very same rebuild, so why not rebuild with the current coach, he has earned the right over 4 or 5 successful years and has proven himself when given the squad to work with he needs.

Players clearly not playing for Poch.
When last was a manager backed over players?
Yes there are a few we can get rid of but its seems like they are infecting the rest of them. I want Poch to turn it around but how often do managers get that right?

Well he clearly is not a top class coach Billy, he has only won six of his last 26 Prem games. I would say that is anything but a top class coach.

Feels like the Poch cycle is over. I would say you've either gotta replace the players or the manager, as the players look tired and uninterested, but I also wonder if Poch has the fight in him to do it again with an overhaul.

Honestly feels like the longer this goes on the worst shape you'll be in when Poch inevitably leaves and all that's happening now is his good work is being very slowly undone.

Of course, this could just be wishful thinking from my biased self, but time will tell.

Billy has got this situation right.
I will add two things:
1. This squad is well capable of challenging for a top 4 spot. It is under performing for reasons that have happened behind the club house doors - I don't know what, there have been rumors, but that is pretty obvious.

2. "Clearly we can’t get rid of Levy….much as some would like to, but it’s not happening." NO!! WRONG!!
Levy & Lewis have to get rid of themselves ....... by selling the club. Hopefully that was one of their long-term goals motivated by the new stadium etc. Unfortunately, given its current league position and performances, its price may not be what ENIC would like. Thus two outcomes are equally likely ATM.......
a. ENIC hangs on to the bitter end and sees the club go down the shuthole.
b. ENIC decides to back Pochettino in January to the tune of north of 250,000 GBP. Leaving Poch with the hurculean task of knocking a squad with 4 or 5 new first team players into shape.

Your guess is as good, or better, than mine!! ..

Sandy....can you read old boy?
Or have you lost your specs?
The squad is underperforming.... that is the point.
It is not a relegation bound squad, but ......that's what it is doing.
and the question is WHY?
Now don't bother with oyur usual stupidities.
Put on your thinking cap ... oh you do have one right? .....
And think. Why?
The answer is not in the roster.
Its in the clubhouse.
