the other liverpool game, when they beat us to win the league and relegate us is probably my all time worst. would have loved to have smacked a few but there was so many of them you couldn't.

What about the FA Cup game against Liverpool when you pizzed your pants because we played some of the academy players

And won the game

Another away game that sticks in my mind from the 70s was at Old Trafford one January. United were top and we were third but we played them off the park and won 3-1. But for injuries I think we would have gone on to be champions that season

two at albion are one of my great away games - the danny crainie game, well into november and we hadn't won a game. won 2-1.
and perhaps second to the toon game the last minute bully winner match

Any wins at the Albion are great memories, I was at both of those.

I can find myself in the crowd chanting 2-0..2-0 at 9.45 on the match of the day highlights...

That was a rare victory that season Simon, more so than a post on here from you these days. Good to see you back.

And your donkey jacket.

The 93/94 hawthorns game popped up on you tube after that one, had almost forgotten that, thought it was situation normal when Bully got an early goal but they got back in to it and beat us 3-2. Different atmosphere at that one, they'd just taken the roof off the smethwick end and was completely open had the whole end. Must have been about 8 thousand of us there that day.

Surprised the roof on that stand lasted as long as it did. Regular event for Wolves fans to set fire to the grass behind the stand on their way out of the ground. Crazy or what!

It’s great for Wolves and Jimenez that he is being recognised by everyone that takes an Interest in football as one of the best centre forwards in the game

Seems like only yesterday when that idiot BlackStarr was telling us we are short of a quality striker, and Raul Jimenez just wouldn't cut it in the Premier League!

Raul is currently on course to exceed Mo Salah's last season stats for goals and assists in all competitions.
Mo Salah is currently valued at 150m euros!

that is kind of my point though, fans of other clubs wouldn't have a clue he is this productive. I doubt a lot of Wolves fans realised he is this high up the list in Europe. Whoever set us up with him whilst he was just a reserve in Portugal needs a big bonus.

Forgive me for being a bit sceptical about those figures, but by my reckoning he's got 26 goals and 11 assists in his wolves career so going back to September 2018.

Plus you have to take in to account that four of his goals came from the Crusaders and Pyunik games.

I can see you are trying hard to undermine his achievement but every player on that list will have scored goals against weak opposition. And for every player on the list it includes all the games they have played, so internationals too

"Trying hard to undermine his achievement"

There's an election on DJ, my BS detector is finely tuned. I saw the list on Twitter earlier too and it may even be correct taking internationals in to account but let's not kid ourselves he's better than Kane, Ronaldo, Son, Suarez or even Aubameyang. I love the bloke but let's be realistic, he's only up there because of the Europa qualifiers.

posted on 15/11/19

I think he is class and i wonder how good he could have been if he hadn't wasted the first four years of his time in Europe as basically a bench player? He is 28 already so is about at his peak so hopefully we get a few more quality seasons out of him yet.
