Free?

Who pays for it then?

Who pays for the infrastructure that’s already been invested in by the current providers?

How do you go about changing provider if you’re not happy with the service you’re getting?

Bloody Corbyn and his magic money tree to the rescue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, that’ll be the same magic money tree that the Tories have magically found just before an election.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That magic tree is called borrowing.

Conservatives hav said about £20bn extra borrowing, which sets a new cap of about 3% of GDP.

Labour are proposing £55bn extra borrowing, about 5% of GDP. Last time it was this high, 1976, Britain faced financial crisis. The Labour government was forced to apply to the IMF for a loan of nearly $4 billion. IMF negotiators insisted on deep cuts in public expenditure, greatly affecting economic and social policy.

Brings to mind the famous quote, Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Jeremy, the 1970s are calling, they want their policies back!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you think they could get some money but not letting billionaires avoid oodles of tax?

Either way the Tories have managed to not only be complicit towards the death of thousands upon thousands of deaths but they did so by managing to double the deficit in the process,

NBot saying you do but across the board if you vote Tory you don't give a sh!t about people and you're a cvnt imo.

What’s this obsession about 2030. 4 day week in 10 years. Equal pay in 10 years. Free broadband in 10 years. Here’s a load of promises of free stuff in 10 years when we’re not in power is utterly laughable.

Yes robbing.

Anybody who we disagree with politically is a cvnt.

"Comparing the UK to Venezuela is the stupidest argument out there."

I think you'll find that the main criticism of this nature is the praise that Corbyn has offered Venezuela, prior to its demise.

Not a comparison, just an appraisal of Corbyn's competence and ideologies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And Johnson and Farage are in bed with Putin and Trump.

What’s your point?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

My point is exactly what I wrote.

What’s that got to do with Farage and Putin?

Awful policy.

Funny how humans make the same mistakes over and over - as if the nationalisation of this and other industries would be a good thing.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolute waffle Winston, privitization is the single biggest factor in the sky rocketing prices for public transport for example.

Humans haven't made any mistakes here you are poorly informed
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh really?

Maybe you'd like to have a little research back into what a nationalised service is like for utilities.

Let me know how you get on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I had a look and haven't changed my mind
----------------------------------------------------------------------

More fool you.

Well they could put unrealistic timelines on things.

Like have Brexit completed and a free trade deal in place by January 2021. Or having broadband to every house by 2025.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

No anyone who is willing to vote for a party that has demonstrably hurt it's own citizens is a cvnt.

The ATOS and Windrush scandals were not an accident, they were a direct result of Tory policy. They did it on purpose. Just like kids being in poverty is on purpose. Just like homelessness going through the roof is on purpose.

So sorry, you may not like it, but if you support that you're a cvnt.

I would vote Tory over Labour as it stands now.

Corbyn is that bad in my opinion, but I wouldn’t be calling somebody a cvnt for having different priorities or opinions.

Kinder, gentler politics my arris.

This notion that socialism and bringing public services cannot work is the biggest right wing con of modern times. Frances railway works just fine.

There is not a single argument for supporting what the Tories have done and not being a cvnt I'm afraid.

People are dying bud. If you want to be complicit to that then fine but it does make you a bad person.

There's a strike tomorrow in Britain.

If the service is going to be poor it may as well be cheap.

Not on the scale of France there isn't.

Painting the French railway as an example of nationalisation working well is laughable.

Except I haven't done that.

Not the first time you've assume that a view about one thing automatically means a view about another.

NB:

If you criticise Corbyn or any of his policies, it automatically means that you are a Tory voting cvnt.

That's Robbing's contribution to this thread, in a nutshell.

Of course it is and yet they make huge profits.

I need to get to Birmingham tonight. I can't. Can't tomorrow either. £32 ticket for an hours travel and they lay on a bus.
