The Rangers boards have definitely lost some valued posters due to relentless nit picking, bickering and point scoring, and the boards are a lot less entertaining and balanced as a result.

Genuine question-I’m just wondering what it is you’re happy with and not happy with on the site.
I don’t really contribute to all the other stuff you’ve mentioned, so think I’m fine to ask.
The old boards were more brutal and needed a thick skin ( down Pointy) at times but some great posters as said. On here can be a bit clubby to an extent but that happens when people socialise via nights out and charity football matches, etc. I am outside that circle and feels like it sometimes but just come on and give my tuppence worth .. I have crossed swords (again apologies Pointy) with one or two on here but water off a duck's back. I believe we have lost a couple of good bluenose posters whose posts I enjoyed and it's a real shame that they've gone

You chuck a mixture of people on an anonymous internet forum and people are going to laugh at, get angry at or sneer at things others in the group would disagree with.
That's life.
I try to go with the ebb and flow and yes some things or subjects make me cringe at times but I try to shrug it off as after all it is just that, an anonymous forum.
Then of course some of us have met others off the site at nights out and charity events. I certainly have and don't intend to stop albeit family and work make it less regular for me. You do build friendships. Nothing wrong with that at all. All I will say is that I've never once seen or heard a cross word ever used between posters despite what you may have envisaged them to be beforehand.
Which brings us back to the anonymity where people may well say things they wouldn't necessarily say face to face. It happens. I don't let it bother me. I've likely done it myself.
It goes without saying that when somneone knows someone else personally then the instinct is to defend or maybe join in and equally if you feel outside of a group then the accusations of clique and like will fly. Again means fwck all to me. I try to let people take me as they find me but what I would say is that it's easy to make assumptions about someone they've never met. I get it all the time. hey ho.

The site means many things to many people. I enjoy it but a couple of times have taken a rest away for a week or two.
For some it's not the right media. I get that. Just ignore it or don't join is what I'd say.
Mentioning people by name and having threads derailed by personal vendetta's between people who don't even know each other is simply quite bizarre in my books.
I can't answer for anyone else but I think it will drive more people away for certain.
Sometimes I put it down to international week.
