Feck the debate. Far more important is the influence the press is having on this election, and possibly the referendum as well.

Did anybody read the colomn from Peter Oborne yesterday in the Guardian?

Peter Oborne, a journalist and political commentator for almost 3 decades. Look at his wiki and his past work shows he at least is an EU sceptic. A self confessed lifelong conservative. I'll put the link below, but first a pretty amazing quote from the article:

"I have talked to senior BBC executives, and they tell me they personally think it’s wrong to expose lies told by a British prime minister because it undermines trust in British politics. Is that a reason for giving Johnson free rein to make any false claim he wants?"

Media go against conservatives too and sadly all sides lie and promise stuff and spin and backtrack or sit on a fence to get votes from leave and remain, so all sides ate at it...Guardian and Channell 4 will highlight Tory lies, and Telegraph will call out Labour lies and spin.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Someone missed the recent research that showed the tories were the only party who on balance receives positive press across print media sales in the last year....

The left say the media are biased against them and the right say they suffer, and dame with remain and leave.

Social media is there to counter any balance, surely

If you watch ch4 news, it is anti leave and Tory and BBC try to be balanced, so pick up a paper, and most ate right leaning, but you have local papers and Mirror, Guardian, Morning Star etc.

Then go to uni and most academics and students are remain and left so what is the balance issue?

Papers are old school.

Social media and tv are not right wing leave or conservative.

Well thank f*ck it’s not on Aunty Beeb, who have decreed that it would be wrong to call out Johnson’s lies in case the voters thought he was a liar!

Yes that’s how absurd British politics is right now.

Thankfully the more intelligent amongst us already know he’s an incompetent, corrupt, venal, racist, sexist, homophobic lying clown.

Jezza should ask that fat sack of human waste to

1) Name all the dodgy Russian donors
2) Release the Russia dossier
3) Ask why he gave that Gold Digging Trollop taxpayers money.
4) Name all his kids,

I’d also ask if he’s pleased with the 150’000 austerity deaths so far and if Hitler himself would have admired such ruthless efficiency in culling the population?

Kill 150,000 in a concentration camp, the world recoils in horror (and even goes to war). Do it through “austerity” and nobody bats an eyelid. Ingenious.

I see Pritti Patel already has her eye on the Gypsie community. Next up for extermination?

Politics is complicated and should be fought over the issues, however these days it’s dumbed down so much it’s hardly worth engaging. It’s all spin, lies and literal fake news, and we’re a country full of gullible racist cretins.

To me the choice is clear. Socialism or Fascism.

Pick a side.

Social media and channel 4 news and guardian, mirror, universities etc surely balance out the bias in print?

So during the debate, the official Tory twitter account, CCHQ, changed it's name to FactcheckUK, and used it to mislead the public whilst posting anti Labour and Corbyn posts.

These people truly think they are above the law and someone should hold them to account.

Also, remember one of Boris' recent key arguments for leaving the EU? Boris wants to improve animal welfare standards, for instance by banning long-distance transport for livestock to be slaughtered, and the EU is preventing that. That's 1 of the reasons why we MUST Brexit.

It took an American journalist to uncover the truth.
Germany, Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden have requested the European Commission propose a change to EU rules on animal transport. The UK government has not joined them.

In February this year the European Parliament passed resolution calling on Commission to propose limiting live animal transport and making sure animals are slaughtered locally.

Conservative MEPs didn't support it. It would be burdensome regulation on farmers.

One of the many reasons why I would not vote Tory ever. Exchange Labour with Tory and Islamaphobia with Antisemitism and this would be plastered all over the press.
