I would recommend thinking about a target list of companies that you would like to work for. Look on linked in to find out who the Talent partner is for each company and approach them directly. They will appreciate it as they don't like paying recruitment agencies fees.

Job tiltes for these internal recruiters are -

Talent Acquisition
Internal Recruiter

If you want to go down the agency route then look at who is posting the job adverts that you like and call them directly. They usually get loads of CV applications so try and get them on the phone and then you can sell yourself better than a CV.

Not a great time of year for it, a lot of companies will be putting 2020 plans into action and thinking of next year.

Not a bad idea to get the ball rolling just now but an actual move might be more achievable next year.

I too will probably move on next year, one more decent move and I can look to start to think towards winding down workwise in 7-8 years.

Right now a lot of admin, recruitment and office staff will spend more energy on the Christmas night out and secret santa than recruitment projection.

Yeah youre probably right tbh! Just looking for more ideas going forward so i have a plan of action

Take the word 'being' out of that sentence and you might get some interest.

I don't think that's what we mean by home service.

Are recruiting in Glasgow (and throughout uk) at the moment. Don't need engineer experience as training is given and infact customer service experience is preferred. Do need a driving license

What would that pay and what's the prospects in the long term? Will they still be doing installs and repairs in ten years or everything remote?

We will always be doing service calls. And in all honesty installs even if we do go online. Virgin still need an engineer to do installs in most cases.

Prospects joining sky are huge once your foot is in the door.

In your head your off to fix the SKY for a house full of 21 year old student nurses, all lassies who will be running around half naked and pillow fighting whilst you fix the Sky, flirting and offering all sorts for free channels. In reality you are driving in deepest darkest Ayrshire on your way to some stinking pub who need the Sky fixed pronto as Rangers are on the night

The guys who deal with the celebrity clients have some stories btw.

Anyway anyone genuinely interested give me a shout by LinkedIn/Facebook if you know me or if not can share your email via admin and I will get in touch. I can give you a referral link and I know that department well.

Absolutely brilliant company to work for.
