It maybe exciting Sandy, but I have apprehensions too.
We have just uprooted a manager who took us to the dizzy heights of CL football.
I am keeping my fingers crossed things work out for Jose. For our sake anyway!

Levy must have taken leave of his senses, clearly there was a problem there with Pochettino but to go from him to Mourinho is ridiculous. On sky he's exactly like he was in interviews when he was at United, dull, morose, mumbling barely coherently. If it was anyone else they'd have sacked him off by now.
Even in those daft paddy power ads he looks like he's being forced to smile and display any kind of energy.
It will wind up a few Chelsea fans though so not all bad

Looking forward to seeing what he can get out of Dele. He transformed Lampard into one of the world’s best, so why not the same with Dele? Also think Dier, Winks, Son and Moura will benefit - in fact there’s a whole squad of under-performers for Jose to try and elevate.
People point at Mou’s stint at Utd, but that’s a struggle for anyone - the squad’s a mess and not fit for purpose, as Ole is now finding out. A truer reflection of his work is at Chelsea - look what he did for Terry, Lampard, Drogba, Cole, Essien, Cech, Carvalho, etc - they all think he’s the best they’ve worked with - no reason he can’t have the same impact on our squad.
Genuinely think any fans complaining right now will be in for a surprise.

My main issue is that he WAS one of the world's best managers.
But he hasn't been anywhere near that for 4 or 5 years.
It's like saying 'let's sign Rooney, he is one of the world's best players'.
Mourinho in his prime could walk in to any team in the world, improve them and win things. But at Utd he was laughably bad, ruined players, looked like he hated the whole sport, played appalling football, blamed everyone other than him, moaned at everything, wasted SO MUCH money, then walked away. He ruined that club in the short term.
His second stint at Chelsea wasn't too dissimilar
So which Jose do we get? If it's the former, brilliant. But - genuine question - why are you so sure that he will be a success and why are you overlooking his two most recent managerial stints?
I'm genuinely interested. I respect your opinion and I'm not on the wind up.
