I know this is a wum article, but Jose does have a habit of buying players he's worked with before. I bet we'll see some players from United and even Chelsea linked with Tottenham soon.

Maybe even Fellaini may make a PL return. United were willing to let him leave whe and his contract ran out before Jose insisted we keep him and offered him a 2 year contract.

The thing is, most of the players who had success with Jose are close to or in their 30s. Don't think we'll see any end up at Tottenham.

Daniel Levy hates buying players with no resale value but I do see him bowing to some of Mourinho's demands so we might see one or two older players brought in.

Spurs have a manager that has won multiple Prem titles, something no Liverpool fan has ever seen.

Jose better than Klopp.

This is going to be hilarious.

Same old stuff.

Mourinho to utd. Oh we are getting bale, we are getting this guy or that guy. Every top player going.

Mourinho to spurs. Oh we are getting bale. every top valued Portuguese player.

The reality check is:

a) agent needs to get his slice. Mourinho works with his super agent friend who harvests money left and right.

b) players will want mega wages. bale was a mil a week or something to china.

c) spurs need a massive rebuild irrespective of what fantasy the fans think. The players are not up to it. LFC fans for years closed their minds to this concept but a bit of a vvd and alisson later and i think the realisation that best players = best perofrmance has finally hit.

So best of luck with levy and mourinho. You can't pay the wages nor the fees required to get the best.

I already see "spurs will win CL now." spurs will win FA cup"

going to be fun.

Lindelof praised him a few days ago. McTominay has a good relationship with him. Matic and Young would be available close to free in January.

c) do they need a rebuild? There was clearly, for whatever reason, a breakdown between manager (or coach, if he prefers, and that’s a story in itself) and the squad. For the vast majority, they are solid pro’s.

I don’t envisage a massive spend at Christmas.

What I do envisage at WHU tomorrow is at least a draw. Jose will concentrate on his back four first, same as he’s always done. Clean sheet time will be his objective.

Tbf he almost certainly will win something. Not in a style I would enjoy, but he is a serial winner.

How long before he starts slagging off his players, Spurs, the refs, the league, the other clubs and managers, the supporters, the press, his mother, the hotel, the weather, the food, his chauffeur, his hairdresser, Ryanair, the Pope, the tea lady, the pitch, the Dallas Cowboys?
