Pochettino Appreciation Thread

If Jose gets the same level of support and cooperation from Levy and company as Poch did, then he will be gone in a year.

----

I don't think that's fair. Levy was extremely accommodating to Poch. We went from a director of football and coach to making him a regular manager. Maybe we didn't sign and sell everyone he wanted, but that would be true of any club.

The fact that Poch was pretty openly sulking about transfers and the way the club was run could - and maybe should - have seen him sacked in the summer.

The Ajax game obviously and Poch crying with emotion at the final whistle and in that interview. Brilliant moments as a Spurs fan.

Best moment:

Ajax away, or possibly the end after the 4-3 Man City game when Poch came into the changing room with the blisters and he was mimicking holding his balls as if to say ‘grande cojones’

Also 3-1 at home to Madrid
1-1 away at Barca to qualify was good as well

With the blisters

Somehow meant to say ‘holding his balks’ and posted that

I liked Poch, on the face of it a straight shooting bloke and I loved his passion. What he did for Spurs under the circumstances was nothing short of wonderful and he deserves a lot of credit for the way he conducted himself.

Even in the face of rotten luck and regular shaftings from the officials, he remained absolute class..... well almost, apart from when that caaantt Mike Dean finally made him snap.

Many great memories, with the title challenges being the most memorable, but unfortunately we could just not overtake the media campaign for the Leicester fairy tale.... even the referees got dragged along into that particular dream.

Many thanks to Poch, I wish him all the best and hope he gets a big job and proves his doubters wrong. I would also love him to return to Spurs as manager some day further down the line.

Loved the unbeaten last season at the lane

Obviously the games against city and Ajax away were special as well as thumping Real Madrid at Wembley.

The first away win for years at Chelsea was a good day

Thanks for everything poch

I will wish Pochettino good luck wherever he goes.
He built what he could with the little Levy gave him.....
and he did a damned good job.

When his next team comes to play us,....I'll be rooting for him.

He should have shown his appreciation to Lucas Moura for making him feel that way then, shouldn't he?

Because without Lucas Moura literally scoring the qualifier on the exact second of extra time being up beyond all expectations it was Lucas Moura and Lucas Moura alone who got us into the Final end of

Without dele setting him up he doesn’t score
Without Llorente knock down, dele doesn’t set him up
Without Sissoko ball forward. Llorente doesn’t knock it down

Most of all without Pochettino picking them none of it happens

It was poch and all the players he picked during that champions league campaign that got us to the final.
