There are 850k job vacancies in U.K and just over 1 million unemployed.

Why aren’t the unemployed filling these vacancies? I thought the immigrants took all the jobs?

"- 4 day work week"

I want to like Corbyn but stuff like this makes me think he is either a lunatic or is completely full of shīt.

Some other policies:

-100k extra council houses a year
- Eradicate food banks in 3 years

The low income workers should be all over labour.

Incredibly positive results for companies that have introduced this. I'm not saying it's realistic and it should be a company policy rather than governmental, but it shouldn't be dismissed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It may well be positive. In practical terms though it will be completely impossible to implement and he knows it. The NHS for starters simply cannot do it.

The NHS implements this already way more than most jobs. My wife works in the NHS as do most of her family and a massive % of our friends and I don't think one of them works 5 day weeks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I worked in the NHS up until a couple of years ago and pretty much everyone other than nurses and doctors did 5 day weeks.

You can do it with adequate staffing. Bit in departments that are understaffed, as many are, you cant implement 4 day weeks.

You forgot the 150,000 new homes!

And the reason he's not leading the polls is most people realise it will never happen or if it does the country will end up like Greece!

And people who like me who work 55/60 hours a week to earn more money should be very wary!

Their policy allows for more flexibility than all private sector jobs, particularly it you have had children.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And that is very different to implementing a 4 day week for all members of staff.

Labour tax plan is to increase tax for people who earn over 80k. So make people who are seeming over 80k to pay a few k extra Dosent sound unreasonable?

I would love my boss to give me a million pounds every year, but my job wouldn't last 5 minutes on those figures. The same as Corbyn is proposing, intelligent people know that short term it may be lovely but its simply unsustainable.

You earn more, you should pay more. No issue with that at all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I do - but why should I pay a higher %age on that overtime?

What insentive is there for me to work extra hours when a large portion is going to be taken off me. If I decide to just work 37.5 hours the country is going to be deprived of tax I would pay at the same rate as my normal rate!
