Arsene Wenger always had a flowing midfield even when fielding the likes of Eboue, Frimpong, Denilson et al

Last season we added Aubameyang to the mix and were potent for a long streak, but we're beginning to lose our essence & style month after month.

We must bring in a manager who can get us playing as a team again, in defence & attack.

You're not not wrong on this. Emery started well, but I think he never embedded his style of football and I don't know what style of football he has. I can admit the goals scored by Aubameyang and Ramsey against Leicester and Fulham respectively last season were all Wenger moves as teams don't change a style of play all of sudden. We can all agree we never saw anything like that again. Emery have never shown us any style of football we know of and we're all still waiting.

While Emery is awful and needs to go lets not rewrite history regarding Wenger's final years with us

We'd lost the free flowing football and were playing turgid dross for the most part. Often like under Emery last year, grinding out the limited number of results we did get while not necessarily out performing the opposition

You're not wrong. But even with things at their worst, Wenger wouldn't set up in a home game against a team like Southampton with 7 defensive-minded players. And teams still came to the Emirates with a respect for the fact that on our day we could click and cause damage.

Now any team that comes up against us, even at our place, has absolutely nothing to fear, and they know it. We get dominated at home by relegation fodder. That just didn't happen under Wenger no matter how poor results got.

And don't underestimate just how bad this current run of performances and results is, going back to the collapse at the end of last season. I believe it's statistically worse than anything Wenger served up.

Always said that Wenger's greatest feat was 20 yrs of CL football, not the Invincibles. So many forget that we punched above our weight for 15 of that. Most sickening thing here is I swear we'd be in 4th at least now with this same set of players and Wenger

Wenger's long term biggest problem is solved in Torreira. He's ideal for the DM role in a Wenger side. He'd have Bellerin and Pepe combining like a charm in no time. He'd let Saka and Martinelli loose for sure. And the faults at the back would iron out passbly due to pure front foot football crowned with Auba and Laca. Emery doesn't seem to know how to use these players. Wenger would.

Wenger was past it we were getting worse under him I see nothing to show we be top 4 under him
