Dier alongside Dembele was a very effective DM, dropping back in to make a back three, he needs to get back to those levels because at the moment he is way off it.

He has had all sorts of medical problems. Can’t help but wonder whether he will ever reach his peak again. I do hope so, because I have always liked his attitude.

From the flak he gets on JA you would think he is not trying or doesn't care. But I think his poor form has been for medical reasons. I hope he can get back to his best because he showed in that one awesome season how good he can be.

Dier was only good because he basically became a CB in between Toby and Jan which allowed our quality full backs in Walker and Rose freedom to attack more. Dembele basically bossed the midfield in front of Dier as well.

Sissoko and Ndombele is what I would do and then bring in a new holding midfielder ASAP

I don't even think jose sees sissoko as a CM though and reckon he's not given up on dier yet - emphasised that it was a tactical move for a reason imo.

Reckon Dier and Ndomebele at the weekend maybe

Winks plays way to safe at times. We can't have Dier barely moving and Winks making basic passes.

You say winks plays safe but some of his passing last night even simple passes were awful and he was dwelling on the ball losing it a lot
