Well, yeah. If I were him I'd be embarrassed to have a testimonial

Don't know why that's funny. Feel a bit sorry for him to be honest.

If he's expecting plenty of empty seats perhaps he should stage it at the Etihad?

Same for me Red pixels.
Firstly he gives his best every game/
Secondly, it's not his fault he's injured so often.
Thirdly, he cares.

No he doesn’t, he’s always been a clown and liability.

He is self-deprecating about it and says only his mum and dad would attend.

That's debateable too if it fell on a bingo night

It’s a funny one because technically he’ll deserve it (if he’s here in 18 months time) but when you consider why testimonials exist and what he’s actually contributed to the team you can see why some would question it. He hasn’t really stayed at the club through loyalty, more that he’s been injured and worked under successive managers who’ve all probably wanted to see what he can offer before getting rid. His face probably doesn’t help things, and his longevity at the club is a symbol of much that is wrong with the club which isn’t really his fault.

He should be donating any testimonial money to BUPA.

The physios should attend too ffs they’ve been kept in a job for a decade because of him.

+++

so would you by buying a ticket to attend his testimonial game... ? or you will expect us ST holders to pay for it and attend on your behalf so you can pat yourself on the back and say 'he got a good testimonial attendance, and he deserved it?

His best is absolute mediocre.

Why would I RB&W, I didn't say he should have one. Just saying that although he's had a poor career it wasn't for lack of effort.
If you think he's one of the non triers fair enough.

He definitely gives his best, he just isn’t good enough.

It is partly his fault, his donkey in a china shop playing style is conducive to this.

Yeah, he probably does, but I care about United and would give my best, can I get a game?

How absolutely tragic that a player who’s served a club so long feels that unloved by his fans!

Bunch of plastics

Depay was utterly useless and now he's killing it for club and Country.
Smalling wasn't good enough, but killing it for Roma that he's wanted by several clubs there.
Jones to be the next one to move Italy and suddenly he'll never be injured and they'll be calling him the English Berasi.
