I wouldn`t say we scored against the run of play
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the first 30 minutes they had 60% possession and our keeper pulled off two saves and we had not had a shot before we scored, thats against the run of play even to the most biased supporter
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Possession means nothing, and the two saves our goalie made were just routine saves. They never really looked like scoring until the last 15 minutes when they got their two goals.
Spurs pretty well bossed the game as I said without being at their best.

You are making out like Bournemouth were overrunning Spurs and they were not.
We were too easy to play against again at times, Bournemouth were allowed too much space and time and had several shots from long range, nobody was aware or quick enough to close them down to snuff out danger. We are giving up too many chances and need a Kante type player in midfield.

I will give you that Billy, Spurs were to open, and Spurs defensive midfielders were not putting in the tackles. Dier is not really doing his job properly. Definitely needs replacing.

All this talk of a "collapse" at 3-0 doesn't really tell the story tbf. Wilson's free kick was outstanding, not much the defence can do about that. Mourinho was even trying to take Ndombele off when he made the foul. The second, fair enough, it was soft. Maybe Dier should've come off but I understand leaving him on for his confidence and fitness. I think we'll see the best of him towards the end of the season.

It wasn’t a collapse Bournemouth had loads of chances all game it was just bad game management again.
The free kick was wonderful ( although Kane and Sissoko prob stop it if the jump ) but the second and the nearly third was awful work by us.
Didn’t like the Ndombele for Lucas sub thought that was a huge error by José
Dier is the main weakness then closely followed by our full backs.
Until this is addressed we will continue to leak goals. Against better teams than West Ham and Bournemouth we will drop points .
Dier is not the player Jose wanted at Man U 2 years ago while none of our fullbacks are good enough to defend and win trophies.
SIMPLE
We need to do better without the ball. Way too easy to play against. WHL should be our fortress but teams just find it easy to play there. Few years ago Bournemouth would hardly get out of their own half. Hate this end to end krap.
Yes, we have won 3 games which is great but the acid test will be away on Wednesday. Our work off the ball needs to be better.
At least after today our fans won’t go on about the ridiculous notion Sissoko and Eriksen subs allowed the opposition to score 2 goals .

Yes we had loads of chances but I’m saying it wasn’t a collapse because it was a end to end game and tbh very even.
We need to learn to shut out games like we did a few years back.

Billy has the game about right.
First 7 minutes Gazza pulled off two great saves.
Our back four are pretty good, Vertoghen doing a good job at LB..........so the weakness is elsewhere ....
I think Dier is a weakness in midfield.
Alderwiereld's upfield passing is terrific.
And, contrary to many of the idiots on here ....
Sissoko was a force for the positive aspects of our game.
Good on him for scoring ...... may he get many more ....
and good on Mourinho for knowing a good player when he has one!
What's with the last 20 minute collapses now?
Mourinho will have to teach our defenders how to defend again ......they've forgotten under Pochettino!
Sandy , I’m finally enjoying watching Spurs again to mate. Mourinho has most definitely made a difference just like I said changing the manager would. Our defence are still poor, but Mourinho will work on that and maybe it’s a good thing we are conceding, as it means Mourinho will probably request to buy some defenders in Jan now which we need. But I can’t complain, 3 wins in 3
How can you say Son had a bad game? Did you see his work for two of our goals?
Absolutely Don, other than the late lapses I am really enjoying the football again. Scoring goals, 10 goals in a week, when they barely looked like scoring against the likes of Watford and Sheffield United. If only they had made the change a couple of months back, I am pretty certain Spurs would have had at least another half a dozen points. Anyway never mind, the future is looking decent again, no point in dwelling on the past.
Good article anyway, agree with most of it.
