For Ramdini.

Vidal

'The final whistle brought merciful relief to what seasoned observers termed a debacle of a performance. Mr Rooney may be wondering what he has let himself in for.'

There were flashes of competence. Indeed, like the Fulham game, a couple of chances, if connected correctly would have left the net bulging.

We play brilliantly for the first two minutes and then the opposition think about it, scratch their heads, calculate and then nullify us for the next 88. We just do not seem to have the nous, wit or intelligence to change. It's all very one dimensional.

We missed Martin showing for the ball. Everyone else was running away from it leaving the ball carrier to either attempt a defensive splitting pass or turn and give to someone else to try. Subsequently it was all sideways and backwards. No one taking responsibility.

Thanks, Vidal. A good shot at it

Cheers Vidal.
Well written , especially given the lack of material to work with!

Thank you Vidal. A really great effort and very informative. I feel somewhat humbled, but I can appreciate a job well done. You have a gift with words.

He certainly does - knows nearly all of them, and sometimes uses them in the right order

I was going to praise Ramdini for his accurate reporting and lack of the "did you spot the deliberate mistake section" but then saw it was Vidal.

Still think we were cheated by first, the ref giving the penalty, and then allowing it to stand. He can join Roger Milford, Stuart Attwell and Bobby Madley in the hall of idiot referees.

I've just looked it up and that David Martin who did so well for West Ham played 2 games for us on loan from Liverpool in 2010. I thought I vaguely remembered him.

I'm also wondering if Arsenal will come in for Cocu as they are looking for a new manager. It would be heartbreaking to lose another manager to a bigger club, but if we got £6 million for him it would soften the blow.
