Realistically he's had one session with them he cant make wholesale changes, in short term it's about damage control and try to change the mood of the players. He's subs were wrong but overall we got a point away from home which doesn't happen much these days so it's a start.

Then why pick Ozil, Mustafi, Kols and Xhaka in the same team in an away game?
It would be quite unrealistic to expect wholesale policy changes in the country should a hypothetical Deputy Prime Minister suddenly find himself in power overnight.

Whether we like it or not Xhaka is still seen as a senior player at the moment, Ozil as well and to be honest we were not bad in the first half. Tierney had picked up a knock and was deemed not ready to start. The strange one was Mustafi he really does cause mayhem having said that has Sokratis been that much better recently?

True but it would also be totally realistic to expect said deputy to make a few key changes to bring an immediate end to the. long, ongoing national disaster that had seen the last PM hounded out of office by the British public
Mustafi can play out from the back, likely why he's in. Biggest issue there was having him with Luis behind Xhaka and Ozil. It's a miricale we never conceded more than 2.

Problem is he just cant defend which outweighs anything else at the moment. He spends more time on the floor than on his feet.
A better team would have smashed us today. In the first half their were positives for sure but then we capitulated as usual in the 2nd. All over the place, if Mustafi and a World Cup winning cb , with his experience, still can’t work out his positioning and learn not not to dive in. What hope has any coach trying to improve him. Some of these players just can’t be coached, they’re just plain to see not good enough.
Freddie learned everything he knows frm Wenger - which is very bad news for us.
Still, got a draw away against a much better side.

Xhaka played Thursday and looked terrible. In fact both of Frankfurts goals came from just outside the box from late runs. Even if you forgive him for that, how can you expect someone who hasn't played regularly to take the pitch only 3 days later? And that as an out and out DM in base of a diamond formation?
Torriera was fresher and the DM position is actually the position in which he excelled in Italy and why he was bought! So if you were playing a diamond formation surely you'd have him starting!
Ozil in an away game? Mustafi and Luiz have not played together as partnership. Again because Luiz was injured on Thursday, the best partnership should be sok/mustafi! at least they have played together.
Freddie's selection made no sense unless you were looking at the tired cliche of dropped players being selected by a new manager to get a reaction. Like Mourinho did with Alli. That sort of management does not fill me with confidence.

He didn't use the things Wenger taught him, he just copied Emery.
Ljungberg is undefeated as our manager. Just putting a different spin on it.
Midfielders such as Denilson, Arteta and Coquellin are better than what we have today.
Whatever manager comes in he will have to work with a pathetic championship level MF that we have.
If we are guranteed to bring in top quality midfielders in Jan or the summer then I would sell xhaka and Torreira and stick Willock and Guendouzi on the bench
Sell Torreira?? For God's sake Castor I really do wonder which games you've been watching the last 18 months. Or were you just too busy eyeing up Ozil and thinking up your next doom and gloom post. To notice that Torreira is the closest thing to a complete DM we've had in some 15 years or so?
Under no circumstances should Torreira be sold (other than him wanting to leave of course). Even if we go and buy a 100 mil DM now, we'd be plain stupid not to keep him and have both players. Stop talking about the guy based on poor team performances when he's been played in attack. And base judgements on all the games he played last season at DM. When only Ngolo Kante could outperform him in the PL. Don't know why you feel the need to slate players whom blatantly don't deserve it. And it REALLY stinks that you have the nerve to do it whilst promoting Ozil as some hot sh!t superstar who's been winning us games singlehandedly 80% of the time he's played and served your club like a true professional. That alone is such an insult.
Get ya damned priorities right Castor. We want players to JOIN Arsenal. Not steer clear of it because they'll have to put up with too many hater fans like you so even a big cheque just ain't worth it. I
