Most likely the preferred choice is still in employment.

Just think the board had their target and now don’t really know where to go.

Then why the incompetence in finding a replacement given that It wasn’t working for Emery weeks ago?. Surely you would be getting the back rolling knowing that their is a high chance the coach will be departing soon the way results were going.

The massive gulf in attitudes between our reactionary fanbase and the people actually running the club is a site to behold.

The full extent of our Board's wildest ambitions is to see the club crack a 4th place finish. And hopefully hang on to this at minimal cost once we've achieved it.

Finding a manager capable of that, but still mediocre enough not to start making ambitious demands, is much harder than it looks.

Because the right man is not available yet probably...

AFC is one team that IMO Jose can never manage and retain any sort of credibility whatsoever. The way he has dissed Arsenal over the years, spatting with Wenger. Means he'd look the biggest biyatch on the planet to come work for us now.

Closely followed in biyatch size by ANY ARSENAL FAN saying it should happen or they were pleased it'd happened. Luckily Jose just enjoyed the chasing then promptly demonstrated his respect for himself and joined our rivals. See now THAT'S a man you can have some respect for. And if you think he should have been offered the Arsenal job then take a leaf out that self respect book he, many others and I have read.

Get off ya pride lacking, desperate knees and respect the club's PL history enough to know however bad it gets. The Emirates should never be tainted with the name Jose Murinho on the top job door. The lip service he's given the club makes that a straight up matter of principle.

*Actually like Jose. Jose but only if he's at another club and in “Swagger Jose” not “Bitter Jose.” Swagger is a rude yet likeable character who brings some spice to the PL. Bitter is no fun at all to see. Only reasons I'd never want him managing us are the bus parking footy and the fact he's just give it TOO much

But they have literally only started looking. No board can be that incompetent as I said knowing their was over a 90% chance that you would be losing your coach and it had been continuing for a while. Mourinho was a strong possibility imo but the board were split. Not saying he was my choice but I seriously think he was being looked at.

Not saying he was my choice , I’m just pointing to the fact that the board have only just started there process which is very strange given that this was Emery’s destiny weeks ago. Raul is very good friends with Mourinhos agent, Mourinho was available at the time. Don’t agree with your narrative that a club won’t choose a manager because he’s slagged the club off in a previous time. It’s a results business. It is worrying that our board are only just starting their process now.

There two clubs Jose will never be allowed to coach.
Arsenal and Barcelona.

They're only starting now because they really weren't intending to sack Emery before seasons end, Jan at the earliest. He kinda forced their hand by being SO dire this season. So now they have to look around because whoever the board's first choice was, isn't available until next season. Emery really stuffed up whatever plans they started the season with. They're probably praying that Freddie can put a run together good enough to ride out the season. He's their last ditch attempt at getting the bloke they wanted next season. Otherwise it's totally new first choice and a buttload of cash out in Jan for the new guy. Cos let's face it, nobody's coming without a big fat transfer kitty for Jan. Only Wenger knows how to get get to the CL with average. Everyone else is gonna need and want to spend some money.

I’m sorry I don’t believe that, even if you weren’t intending to sack him. It’s a results game and it was on the cards whether they intended to or not. No board wouldn’t plan for an imminent sacking. Emery wasn’t turning it around they knew that after Leicester. The fact that they have just started the process indicates that either they have missed out on a top target or they’re extremely incompetent. If it’s the latter then we are in trouble going forward.

How is this relevant to my article, I’m not having a go at Freddie. Just questioning the boards competence in general with regards to manager recruitment.

Spurs snatched him away from you. Levy acted decisively whilst the Arsenal board dithered and lost their man. An analogy would be staying in the EU (arsenal board) or being our own independent country (Levy).
