Going after the HMS Maguire instead of buying a midfield was a truly terrible decision

Ole played with Keane, Scholes, Beckham, Veron, Giggs, Butt, Carrick as his midfielders.

You think he doesn't see that the 4 above aren't in that league?

He didn't sign any of them.

And what could he have done about it exactly?

We are lacking in maturity thats for sure.

Having McT, Pogba, Matic (I would rather him than Pereira) all out injured isn't going to do our midfield any favours.

Ole didn't buy any of them. Should he have got rid of them all?
Does he buy the players or does he tell Ed what/who he needs.
Our midfield is poor, but much less poor with Pogba and McT;

The coach a team comment that keeps coming out is laughable imo. These players have been coached since they were ten.

If you were to say play a system that suits the current players, and only change it when you have the players you want, I would agree.

You really can’t excuse Ole for leaving us with our current midfield options. We didn’t buy a single midfielder in the summer when it was clear to anyone it needs serious rebuilding.

We had a net spend of about £35m this summer.

Do you think Woodward walked into Ole's office at end of May and said £300m plus whatever you raise in player sales, have at it.

It's needed a rebuild for about ten years. How was Jose's rebuild on it.

M52’s defence of Ole in recent weeks has been pretty pathetic.

Jose’s rebuild wasn’t good enough hence why he was rightfully sacked. Does that justify Ole’s performance so far?

He’s had 2 transfer windows and out midfield is worse than when he took over.

1 transfer window I beleive

posted on 1/12/19

I keep saying, and will say again, I don't know if he's good enough. What I believe is that one window, together with the squad he inherited isn't enough time to tell. Somethings he does I like, somethings not.

I don't see whats pathetic about that, but a lot, though not all, really are pathetic.

Instilling some defensive organisation shouldn't be difficult, but that's also lacking.

no one on this board thought these players were good enough before the transfer window but ole thought they were? or he knew but thought he could wing it till next summer? either way shows lack of naivety on his part

1 transfer window.

He was caretaker in January and the chequebook was closed.

It will be next September at earliest before Jose's remaining mistakes are moved on. Provided Ole gets some more of his own signings in then he can be judged.

People are making out like Ole had a £300m to spend and chose not to.

I can picture it now.

Ed Woodward popping in for a cup of tea with a menu of De Bruyne, Varane, Kante and Sancho and Ole going 'nah, I'm alright, sure don't I have that lad from Leeds and Fred.'

It’ll cost him his job.

First fracking transfer window as a permanent manager. 1!!! For facks sake, you all know it doesn't happen that fast especially with Ed to deal with. The truth is we have at least 3 midfielders that need to go before anyone comes should speak to the problem ole is facing. One or 2 injuries and we have a pub squad. That cannot be on Ole.
