You'll get Toure back with Rodgers. Sorted.

Ain’t being funny but we had two very experienced cbs today who have won pretty much everything in the game, from the CL to the World Cup. Players that have been coached by the best and played with the best and still they were running around like headless chickens, getting twisted by Pukki throughout the game. I just think they’re not up to it anymore especially Luiz, Mustafi is uncoachable imo. We need a mass clear out.

Pukki 🤣 the guy who flopped in Scotland

I'll just leave this here.

If he was to get the role, this is the type of tactical genius he could bring

You can’t coach players to run faster, so that rules out Kolasinac, Sokratis and Luiz straight away. No pace in midfield only makes it harder to cover for what is a huge handicap in the modern game.

Mustafi, whilst slightly quicker, is just... too Mustafi. And the only pace we have in Bellerin and Tierney seems to be locked into a permanent state of injured / recovering from being injured.

I know all clubs make dodgy signings from time to time, but our record for defensive recruitment is ridiculous.

Having said that, I’d love Keown to return to Arsenal in a coaching role.

Sign him up, Raul!

Having Keown come in as a defensive coach is something I've been hoping for since I first heard him analyse one of our performances on BT Sports some years ago, heck let him come in as Assistant Manager to Freddie, he seems to be aware of a lot more problems than simply our defence.

If it's any consolation we wouldn't have to see his heid on the telly for a while (and cameras at matches rarely show the DCs like Bould or you can look away).

There's about a million coaching jobs all the way down the football pyramid.

There's also a reason why Keown's face is currently caked in studio makeup rather than drenched in rain on the sidelines of a training session on a Monday afternoon.

Anyone can spout off a bunch of superficial footballing platitudes on telly and look clever. But give them a coaching role, and watch 90% of them do a Gary Neville and land flat on their faces.

The worst thing the club could possibly do is take anything these talking heads say seriously. If any of them have any good ideas, let's see them roll up their sleeves and prove it in much less demanding coaching roles.

What reason is that then?

You're assuming he won't be a good coach, I'm assuming he would be and I'm not alone.

He already got his chance to coach at the club and work for his badges. Too much hard work.

He knows that there's much easier ways to get paid. Like pulling on an Arsenal shirt and conducting club tours. Or tagging along our pre-season trips to Asia and doing media work.

He worked as a scout for us, not a coach as far as I know, I suspect Wenger didn't want him

Plenty of coaching jobs out there. Especially for a household name such as himself.
