Well I assumed you had read what you're claiming somewhere.

That's not the case then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, it is the case. Do you keep a bibliography of all the newspapers you read and websites you visit ?

Get googling.

I have - can't see any evidence of what you're claiming.

Thought it was reasonable to ask seeing as you are claiming to have read something about it.

I didn't claim - you asked.

It's something you're aware of having watched football for nearly 40 years.

No, you claimed that the South American's are crooked.

I'm just asking what you've seen to suggest that.

If you don't have anything then fine, but let's not pretend that watching football for 40 years is some sort of basis for that comment.

How does watching football mean you know the breakdown who has voted for who?

Because some supporters are interested in who won the Ballon D'or. It's kind of a big deal.

They always have the breakdown of the votes following the ceremony.

Did you think last night was a one off?

Yes, but unless you’ve gone through and counted the votes by South American vs European, how can you make the claim that you did?

Didn’t realise it’d be such a big deal to ask what basis that comment was made on!

Messi was the worthy winner, he just makes the exceptional look normal because he does hit every single year. Goat

You don’t, I was just interested. Not sure why you’re being so defensive.

The fact you can’t answer suggests you have absolutely no basis for what you said.

Nothing to do with being defensive. I just think the act of requesting people bookmark and reference their knowledge of the game is weird.

I provided a perfectly acceptable basis - you simply reject the notion that being an avid follower of the game is enough.

I can say with certainty that Ferguson is a great premier league manager without referencing his accolades.

I haven’t request that you bookmark anything.

I just asked what proof you have that more South Americans vote for people from their region than Europeans who do the same.

It’s a bold claim and I wondered if you have any proof.

You don’t. You clearly just made it up.

posted on 3/12/19

Except it’s not a bold claim and the proof is in the voting records.

Europeans voting for South American’s and Europeans but South American’s only voting for Messi.

Why can’t you grasp this?

So you’re telling me that you’ve been through years of voting records to see who has voted for who in order to come to this conclusion?

Just glanced the report to see that Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru didn’t vote for Messi.

That latest claim not really standing up to scrutiny.

Interested to know if you actually went through the numbers or if you’ve just got a perception that it’s the case.

A country is not a continent.

And no, I haven’t been through years of voting records, I’ve noted them at the time they were competed.

Er... those countries are from South America.

You claimed that South American’s are only voting for Messi. That’s not correct, is it?

And it’s becoming clear that you haven’t actually got any figures to back up your original claim.
