Nah.

I used to have one, you can only cast things you watch on your iPad/tablet onto your TV.

It was good for me as I only had BT Sport on the app and could get it on the TV then.

For the money I would get the Firestick as you can watch your stuff straight from there instead of putting it on a tablet first.

Just ordered one after much deliberation as despite having a smart TV I wanted the ability to cast my phone and also skygo from the laptop (I know Sky block it but there's a workaround)

Ask again in a week if I regret it...

Can you share this?

You can cast to Chromecast from any device. I use my phone and pc. Also rangers TV is now Chromecast compatible which is great.

I've got the 4k version and find it pretty useful. Certainly prefer it to the firestick

I have it. It`s ok. I use it to cast Celtic TV or other internet streams from my laptop onto the TV. Easy to install and use. Never tried Firestick so can`t compare them.

I use mine for Plex (and Netflix when I had a sub). It saves me having to find the PS4 controller and doing it via that.

Unfortunately Amazon Video doesn't allow you to directly cast. You might be able to cast a tab via Chrome as a work around, but haven't checked.

High end new TVs have the same compatibility without buying a cast device FYI.

You can cast anything as long as it's on the same wifi.

Amazon do now allow prime video to cast, Google and them came to an agreement this year, Amazon get YouTube for firestick and Google get prime on Chromecast, been working for a couple of months at least.

Never seen any of them. Mrs had a stroke some years ago so its mainly for her and upstairs as well for when my sons and their gfs stay over.
