All eyes now turn to Fury vs Wilder 2. I think Wilder will KO Fury and then continue to duck AJ by fighting Bermaine Stiverne.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
why would he duck AJ ?

AJ has shown against Ruiz he's somewhat chinny

Wilder lands on AJ...he's not getting up like Fury did
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And in here lies the problem. He has to catch him first. He got lucky with fury who hadn't fought in two years. People seem to forget that. AJ does what he does tonight in my opinion and wins.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whyte, Klitch, Ruiz have all shown he can be hit.
Difference is, when wilder hits you then you don't get up.

If Wilder can land on Fury (and the 40 others hes ko'd) , he sure as hell can land a shot on AJ.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah of course he can. That AJ performance tonight wouldn't work against Wilder as he'd definitely get hit with that big Wilder right at very least once in the fight. And that's all it takes.

If Fury can take Wilder power he can take AJ's for sure, Wilder's power is on another level
----------------------------------------------------------------------
AJ is a better finisher than Wilder.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wilder has fought no marks compared to Fury as AJ. I really don't get the hype. Yeah hardest puncher ever possibly, but a good boxer? Give me a break.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I kind of agree with this. He is the hardest puncher in the division but let's see him in with guys like Parker, Ruiz, Povetkin, Whyte. An almost 40 year old Ortiz made him wobble, so I'm sure others can do as much damage.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Dillian would smash him up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah but on the other hand Dillian could easily get smashed up himself.

Yeah and that's what makes him dangerous, but these guys are better than anyone he's fought, can he do the same to them? It's debatable.

This is why the UFC is much better these days anyway.

These guys should have fought each other already.

AJ proved a lot tonight. How many people thought he could box and move as much as he did for 12 rounds. There was no gassing or fatiguing at this weight, he looked fresh in round 12 and that bodes well going forward. He landed some big right hands on the iron chin of Ruiz but against some one like Fury, I think AJj would let the combinations go.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he fought a good fight tonight, boring but tactically spot on, noones denying that. Dont think he boxed it perfectly though and you'd expect Fury to easily outbox him based on that performance over 12.

Fat man? The same fat man that has some of the quickest hands in the division and who some were calling the 3rd best HW on the planet?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yes a fatman with fast hands and a great chin

but still a fat man who cant move his legs v fast, with a short reach

Totally agree.

The defeat in the first fight could be just what he needed to become a better all round fighter.

He's learned that to be the HW champion he doesn't have to have a body chiseled out of rock. 11lbs lighter, he didn't gas and was able to move much better. and show his boxing skills. The weight loss and the the increased sparring he used in camp for this fight will serve him well in the future.

Not sure he'd land a thing on Fury tbh. It's a shame fury had the struggles he did, could have rules for a generation. Best HW boxer by a distance.

It's an exciting time if they can sort out the fights. They all pose different threats for each other.

Nobody has hit harder than wilder in the history of the sport, fury is about as good a pure boxer as you can get at tbis weight and Joshua offers a range of attributes.

he's a much harder man than AJ...which is why in the 1st fight when they traded he battered AJ, and why AJ wouldnt go near him in this fight

A very good and disciplined boxing performance by AJ tonight but Fury easily outboxes him if they fight in my opinion and against Wilder he'd be just as susceptible to that big right as anyone.

Those fights have to happen now. No more excuses, we demand to see it and find out who the number 1 heavyweight in the world truly is.

Very professional show from AJ. He’s always been too muscular and too much of a one-punch merchant since becoming champ, which isn’t poor from a Olympic gold medallist.

Said it a million times, there is no need for a HW boxer to have a physique like a body builder; Ali, Holmes, Lewis, the greatest HWs of all time IMO - they didn’t need it. All that muscle requires too much oxygen to keep it motoring, which is why sprinters are built like brick sheite houses and long distance runners are like vegetarians toothpicks. It’s why the likes of Haye and Bruno had no stamina.

Joshua needs to keep this approach and be less of a one trick pony, not be the type of fighter that can get KOd by an Andy Ruiz. He boxed cleverly tonight but let’s be honest was an embarrassment - 6’2” and coming in at 20st is a disgrace. He was just an overweight plodder following AJ around eating jabs. Not nearly worthy of owning the belts he brought to the ring.

This was the right result for boxing in terms of what could happen over the next 18 months with AJ, Wilder, Fury, but I won’t be holding my breath on any of those fights getting made. AJ Fury at Wembley would be huge in Britain but the promotional logistics are a nightmare. MayPac all over again, will probably happen when they are both hasbeens.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed with all of this apart from Hate not having stamina, why do you believe that?
