Tbf Ceballos looked like a worldly against Burnley too.
It’s a crime to mention Ceballos in the same breath as the City duo.
If it was up to me, he will be back in Madrid in January. Not good enough.
To be fair, I'd expect two £50m+ midfielders to be able to boss Burnley's midfield. Can't see your current owners sanctioning more than one transfer fee in that region per season so you'll have to take more punts on players like Guendouzi (who is clearly talented) and give them the time to develop for the time being.

Agree, but what impresses me with Pep is how he identifies players that fits into his ethos and gets them.
I did think that City will target Ndombele, but you can see that Rodri is better technically.
Our midfield would struggle to be regulars in any of the teams in the league. Forget the big six but would the likes of Guendouzi, Xhaka, Willock and Torreira be starting for any other team in the prem?
Pep always wants eleven players who are technically very good to control the game.
Pep doesn't like to play against teams which have good linkup players, movement off the ball and pace.
Mane and Salah scored two goals from running off the blind side of the defender.
It would be some spectacle to see Pep coach a world 11 where he gets to choose the players he wants from 1-11 as I bet it would be all technical players who dont lose the ball at all.
Its interesting that Citys direct players are naturally the worst in possession Sterling, Mendy, Jesus, Walker & Debruyne to an extent
Again its funny how Gündoğan who has probably been Citys best player this season gets suspended and Rodri finally shows what he is capable of not just in terms of passing the ball quickly but he is very mobile and physically stood up to Burnleys players.
It was also helped by KDB also being immaculate in possession as the belgian does tend to cough up the ball when he is not in form.
As much as City has missed Fernandinho in the Central Midfield you can understand why Pep wants to play him in defence as he would be close to having at least 6 players who dont lose possession therefore giving City the balalnce to dominate possession against most teams.
Ederson
Rodri
D Silva
Laporte
Fernandinho
Foden
B Silva
Those 7 players are very comfortable in posession and on form it becomes difficult to take the ball of city. Then it allows the direct players like Sterling and KDB to cause havoc.
Angelino did a good job in terms of holding the ball and keeping things ticking, something Zinchenko is also good at but for Pep football to really work he needs at least 4 direct players which is where his foullbacks mainly Mendy and Walker let him down.
Having said that Walker has been decent this season.
They are going to give us another pasting in a few weeks
I forgot John Stones who is also very comfortable in possession but sadly has zero defensive instincts.

Yeah I think they have whipped us by 3 goals in the last 4 or 5 games.
Against our MF and defence it could get really ugly at the Emirates
