Vote Tory anything else is a wasted vote
Although swinsons bangers deserve a mention even if she is a cant
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What's your our game here Irish?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s a pure wum baz

I’m just causing trouble
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thought it was, youre a reasonable chap could never put you down as a Tory supporter in any way
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Baz
The 2 main parties you have to choose from are the same as FG and FF over here
All a bunch of wasting cants
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You really believe that?

You don't believe Corbyn will prevent the sale/breakup of the NHS, do something about homelessness, poverty, come down hard on tax avoidance, pay more than lip service to the emerging climate problem, re-negotiate a deal with the EU and then put it to the people, with remain as an option?

I'm not for one minute suggesting he'll do everything in the manifesto, but certainly tackle the main points

Now ask yourself, what are the tories going to do?

Greasy I’m Irish and have paid little or no attention to either party to be honest
However I believe any other labor leader would be trouncing Boris in the polls
I don’t know why but the British electorate don’t seem to trust him however the way the press demonize him is also out of order

£8bn preparing for Brexit compares to our annual contribution of £15.5bn net.

In the long run the £8bn is peanut and should not be seen as a reason to stay.

The word fascist has been severely diluted by the hysterical Twitterati.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No it hasn’t.

Let’s call things as they are.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Precisely what I was doing, Tories have become synonymous with fascists, which is completely and utterly wrong. Most conservative voters are decent hard working people, just like the majority of labour voters.

Not saying the Tories are aiming to become a fascist regime, and will prepare trains for EU citizens at all. Let that be very clear. But it is clear they are trying to increase their power and control, and they actually are copying tactics used by the fascist regimes of old.

It starts by creating a general enemy, who you claim is responsible for all your own failings. In this case the EU. Gets the blame for low wages (didn't notice that ever in Holland), too many foreigners, an NHS in crisis, poverty in the north etc etc).

Then you start spreading lies/untruths about the enemy. Because of the EU we cannot control our borders and immigration (lie: EU laws allow to send back any citizen of other member state that doesn't have work after 3 months or is self sufficient. UK government too lazy to do that.). Or we will have to bail out Greece / Italy / Spain. Lie: by EU law only Euro countries will bail out other euro countries through special fund. EU gives unnecessary red tape (hello iced kipper!), when it is actually UK red tape, or leaving EU will create even more red tape (irish border).

Make sure you control the media. 80% of media in hands of 5! billionaires, getting nice tax reductions from Tories, and Cameron appointed senior executives BBC (ex Tories).

Start blaming people who oppose you or want to scrutinize you (parliament, judges) of being traitors, enemies of the people, collaborators with the enemy (EU). They have actually been called this.

Start suppressing / ridiculing independent press / people who don't agree with you. Right now Daily Mirror banned from Tory party bus because a reporter wore a chicken costume. C4 being threatened with review of license after ice block, reported to Ofcom, and today after apologizing about people of colour mistake, saying that is why the government doesn't want anything to do with C4 because they are dangerously biased and making up false stories etc etc.

Next is start making up claims of what the people want. The people have had enough of experts (ignoring independent reports on Brexit consequenses). The people have had enough of interviews with the PM being interrupted. The people want THIS deal which delivers everything they want from Brexit.

And now comes the part that we should really really keep our eyes on, and which is the most dangerous one regarding losing some of rights and freedoms. It is page 48 of the Tory manifesto, which will basically give them a blank cheque to alter our rights, and the way parliament and the courts can scrutinize the PM and hold him to account:

https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/tory-manifesto-conservative-boris-johnson-dictator-general-election-brexit-a9216861.html
https://www.theneweuropean.co.uk/top-stories/labour-peer-and-barrister-accuses-tories-of-rewriting-constitution-1-6409002

Again, I am not saying the Tories will start a fascist regime. But it looks like they are trying to increase their hold over us in some pretty unsavoury ways, and I urge everyone to read page 48 of their manifesto, think what they could do with that, and vote against them!

After our rebate the UK actually pays 12 billion. Then they get 3 to 4 billion back in grants and subsidies for employment etc etc. They get frictionless trade with the largest trade block in the world (out of the EU we will have to fill in customs docs again, a lot of them as shown in several newsitems, so many that the extra manpower and hours spend will cost billions we don't pay now. And we the consumers get no roaming fees, free health care abroad (now will have to get travel insurance, and if you have had x,y,z very costly or even impossible to get), no travel visa costs etc etc.

The EU doesn't cost us in the end, the benefits - financial too - far outweigh the costs.

According to a CNN scoop, the official in the British embassy in Washington responsible for matters relating to Brexit, Alexandra Hall Hall, has quit. Hall Hall was a career diplomat and CNN quotes from her resignation letter, which it says was widely circulated among diplomats. In it she said:

I have been increasingly dismayed by the way in which our political leaders have tried to deliver Brexit, with reluctance to address honestly, even with our own citizens, the challenges and trade-offs which Brexit involves; the use of misleading or disingenuous arguments about the implications of the various options before us; and some behaviour towards our institutions, which, were it happening in another country, we would almost certainly as diplomats have received instructions to register our concern.
It makes our job to promote democracy and the rule of law that much harder, if we are not seen to be upholding these core values at home ...
I am also at a stage in life where I would prefer to do something more rewarding with my time, than peddle half-truths on behalf of a government I do not trust.

Been a conservative in Holland for the last 20 years before I moved to the UK. If I could vote here, I would vote for people like Grieve or Gauke. Former conservatives with a soul who have become independent.

But I am sure you can explain why people voting against this Boris government is a sign of being a low information lefty.
