Since he was sacked by Valencia Neville has become pretty blinded to anything being a managers fault. Shame as he was a breath of fresh air when he first got into punditry.
In truth we have invested huge amounts, wasted a lot, could've spent more BUT have assembled a squad far more capable than the results and performances we've seen under Emery and Wenger.

I have never liked Gary, especially since that game where he wanted to break Reyes's legs. However, if we think this set of our defensive lines is coachable then were are being delusional. What do you want to tell the that they don't already know? Among our defensive lineups, we have a world cup winner, a Confed Cup winner, a Premier league, Europa league, FA cup and other titles winners. So it means it's not coaching, the issue is the players themselves.
We need to find solutions to our defensive lines by investing heavily on quality defenders. We also need a creative midfielder to feed our attackers. Is Ceballos the answer, obviously he is not!

Oh really? So you meant they need a coach to tell them that they shouldn't leave their opponents unmarked? They need a coach to show them how to position themselves. Maybe they also need a coach to tell them never to allow crosses into their box or a coach to show them how to block crosses.
All these are elementary mistakes that usually lead to goals. Take a look at Brighton's 2nd goal, Bellerin shouldn't have allowed the cross to come into the box. And because he failed to do so, Luiz also failed to mark his man. If we actually need a coach to tell them this, then we are in a big trouble as a team!
Yet with title winning, CL winning, world cup winning, etc coaches they played well.
Defence is about building partnerships and units, and that is done on the training pitch. The examples you give is a poorly trained unit.
A championship team is build from the back. Your goalkeeper is good but the team needs a worldclass defender and a midfielder who can read the game.
Your team lack energy in midfield to press and work hard

According to all of you, last year it was the board's problem for not spending . When they did, you're saying the are not investing in the right players. ???
So, it means we replaced Koscielny with Luiz, Monreal with Tierney, Ramsey with Ceballos, Mikh with Pepe, Martinelli with Iwobi and we brought Chambers in for Lichtsteiner. But no replacement for Elneny and Suarez.

Do you really need to replace every player you've had even the crap ones like Elneny who was hardly playing? You've done well to replace 5 out of 7. Arsenal squad was the biggest one among the top 6. And who's Suarez?
