Ok, you must believe City are out of the title race, and it's only Leicester and Liverpool are in it?

Think it's fair to think City are out of it, they're going to continue dropping points because they're defensively poor and with Fernandinho at the back they're weaker in midfield. Psychologically for their players too they're probably thinking it's all over and that will affect energy levels and subsequently performances. They're done in my opinion.

Wouldn’t write them off just yet. However if they are in a similar position by the time the CL ko rounds start up, I could see them prioritizing that over the league

I don't know tbh. Any other side and I'd agree with you. But City are used to winning the title and with that comes the experience and the belief that they had turned around 7 points (at least) last year, they can do it again. Games will be coming thick and fast, and injury list will grow, as it does inevitably, and I fear City will bolster their squad and I wouldn't rule them out launching a blistering run.

After the phenomenal form of both Liverpool and Man City last season I find it incredible that we sit between the two of them. I can’t help thinking that Man City will still be there or thereabouts at the end with their squad.

But it’s Liverpool’s to lose now. They would have won the league last season in any other year and I think the disappointment at missing out will give them the strength and resolve to see it through this time.

Pep has said numerous times that they won't buy in January (but I find that not credible.)

I'm gonna wait till boxing day. Next week we both have easy home games and then we are off to Qatar while Leicester play City. If Leicester beat City then that will be one hell of a statement before they play us.

Leicester have it in them to beat both Curyband Liverpool. But sometimes to win you need a bit of luck too, and Liverpool seem to be holding all.ofnit with VAR decisions and no injuries.

Let's see if Liverpool lose to Leicester and come through this heavy period with an injury or two then City could very well catch up.

Lost our keeper for the start or the season. Best midfielder out for our busiest month. Gonna have a youth player as the benched centre back next game. Had other injuries including salah. But ye we are proper lucky with injuries.

I still can’t see this as anything other than a 1-horse race. Liverpool can have a bad month, let alone a bad match, and still be in control and heading for the title.

For us, it’s good to look up and keep chasing, but to the end of trying to finish third.

14 points back and looking like they need to beat leicester just to keep any small hope alive?

I am really going by what I saw v utd. they were doing little til the second goal went in and then they started playing.

The point here is there is a title race.

Leicester credentials are being written off like when they won the title.

Ok we beat them but since then they have won every game.

Yes these are all sides the top 4 ought to be beating week in and week out.

Is this why people are not too worried about Leicester?

Do they need to prove themselves?

Would be bad but if we end up with the league title then the Ropey league would be a good opportunity to give kids and fringe players a chance.

Leicester will play far fewer games than us.

They've lost to Liverpool and United I think.

We'll see by the end of December. They have City and Liverpool. Win both and its definitely a title race.

Lose both and they're probably 14 points behind and they're out.

I just think they will drop too many points between now and Laporte coming back, I mean it could seriously be 20 points if not more they're chasing by the end of January and that's definitely not likely no matter what kind of blistering run they manage to conjure up.

as it stands right now city will have to win all their games bar 1 or 2. they're not all that. leicester on the other hand look really good, just a little thin.
