Wolves equalising at Brighton put us back up to 11th
We will be 12th if Brighton win.

Pathetic.
Im now taking more interest in games I woudnt give a 2nd thought to. Maybe catch up with goals later etc.

Still 250/1 to go down ?

Look on the bright side, we dropped into Europa and got to the final in our second season! If we went to the championship, we might finish in the top four.

As always, supporting Arsenal is anything but boring

I wish that Wenger could have left six years before he was finally pushed . A large portion of the mess we are in today is down to his greed and demagoguery.
I wish that the Arsenal shareholders listened to Dein and sold their shares to Usmanov instead of the wig wearing Missouri parasite
I wish Roudri and KDB played for Arsenal.
I wish Edu would explain the thought process that informed the acquisition of Luiz.

Spurs and United were in the same position a few weeks back. You'll be fine. Stop being bipolar.

Wonder what the odds would be on Leicester winning the league and Arsenal getting relegated this season

Wenger and Gazidis stupendously dropped the ball in 2011 with that, ‘we deliberately kept some powder dry”.
Price inflation, volatile pound and introduction of mega rich owners meant that we missed our chance to invest in the squad and couldn’t keep pace with an artificial market. I thought these guys were supposed to have economic/ business degrees?

Norwich and Southampton, two sides that outplayed us recently easily put away today by Sheffield United and Newcastle respectively.
Arsenal have hit rock bottom and should be afraid.

Arsenal are always the team to have ‘that game’ against. If your season needs a kick start, best play Arsenal. There is no fear factor, trans sussed out how to play us years ago and we still sing from the same hymn sheet. You need to show your fans you have fight, great as Arsenal can’t handle pressure... we are gift to struggling trans! Cannot remember the last time we absolutely hammered a struggling side?

We've been parachuting 30+ year old defensive rejects from other clubs straight into our squads for more than 10 years now. Many of them from our supposed "rivals".

When was Gallas? 2006? Sylvestre? Squillaci? The Sol Campbell reunion? Lichtsteiner?

Can't really blame Edu for obeying company policy , can we?

And I wish all the toxic bile spitting mugs, constantly polluting the club air the last ten years would all do one.

There is a silver lining to the nightmare cloud of relegation though. It would almost certainly see a mass exodous of all the toxic little trolls calling themselves AFC fans. They'll claim to be so “outraged” they're not supporting the team. Then almost all will of course, become City or Pool fans (allegedly lifelong when asked), depending on this season's champs.

Quite a lot of revisionism on this thread. It has never been about the money.

I work in the construction industry, and there's one kind of developer I always try to steer clear of. The kind who will go all out and splash money on the fanciest tiles and finishes, but still cut corners on re-bar, internal plumbing e.t.c.

These are the same kind of people running the club. The kind who will spend £150m on Messi and then wrap up the transfer window with a 35-year old Phil Jones and a couple of Spanish loanees in midfield.

We have never built a complete side from scratch since Graham.

Facking hell get real, you’re in poor form but you’re not going down. Worst case scenario is a midtable finish. A season without Europa might be a good thing for Arsenal, provided they make the right managerial appointment who can capitalise on it. But even now the league is really tight outside the top 4, a couple of wins and you’re back in the top 6 mix.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Get real? Well the table does not lie .
Couple of wins? Have you seen our upcoming fixtures and for a side recently roundly outplayed at home to the Saints and Brighton.

People will always show their emotions in different ways. But all of it comes from the heart at the end of the day.

Take the Xhaka situation. Absolute bile one day, which then turned into a standing ovation weeks later.

Because contrary to all their crying we're far from total disaster yet. They just need to doom and gloom it to death like they with any and every issue. Wish they would all just get lost now though. Would see our recovery faster without them in tow dragging everything down.

Ace is right mid table finish is the worst we'll get. I don't like the idea of it but I do want us finishing outside European comp places completely, if we're not going to finish fourth.

Tbd I do struggle to see where we will win games. No matter how s*** we are against the other top 6 sides from last year, we usually get a good number of wins against everyone else. 2 points out of 9 against Norwich, Southampton and Brighton is worrying.

posted on 8/12/19

All of our ‘easier’ fixtures until January are away, West Ham, Bournemouth, Everton. Other games are Chelsea Man City and Man U. As we are now we’ll be looking at 3-5 points at best from those 6 games. If that’s the case we could easily be in or very close to bottom 3.

It’s going to take a massive shift in performance to get any sort of decent run until the new year. Even watching the bottom teams play, they look to play better football than us. The players really need to put a fecking shift in now. Don’t care if we haven’t got a manager, they are capable of doing better than a relegation battle. They should be embarrassed if they can’t sort this out fast

It hasn't helped that Freddie appears to be sticking with Emery's now miserably failed formula. He's making it hard for fans to have anything to get behind.

Right now Freddie has nothing to lose in throwing caution to the wind and completely changing it up. I for one would feel better straight away if we took the field tomorrow night in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 with no bloody Ozil in sight (if you insist, he can go on the bench) and Martinelli let loose for at least an hour. I can't help thinking that win, lose or draw. The team performance would give the fans something to be positive about.
