I have noticed this criticism in the past - that the style of football employed by the youth teams doesn't match up with the style of the first team. It's great that we've seen some players coming through in recent years, namely Chilwell, Choudhury and Barnes, but that sort of cohesion has apparently been lacking. So it's a positive development if we're addressing that it is an issue and starting to plan for it. Certainly the new training ground should provide a great opportunity for it.

Just one thing though... can we not call it "the Leicester way"?
That kind of phrase for any football club just sounds horrendously arrogant to me.

I guess it's much like all these pundits when they talk about ex players knowing the DNA of a club, which is also utter nonsense because styles of football change over time depending on how the current managers wish to play.

He went on to say......”It's like, if you're cleaning a floor and you're up against it, then come to me and I'll help us clean OUR floor, together....not literally”

he done it with Celtic its the biggest lasting impression he's left on the club

all the youth teams up to senior playing the same style etc

he used to not allow players to go out on loan who he didnt see as having some sort of future so they would train with him evrery day and be able to play at any moment and he used to do that quite a bit up her bring someone in from the cold n then you wouldnt see him again for 6/7 weeks

only exception to that was christie who he let go twice on loan but his hand was forced to a certain extent with him due to the lack of forwards we had at the time

I think it’s great that a manager has come in with a clear plan and wants the team to play with a particular identity. I actually think that the club has some semblance of this in mind as well in terms of how they want the club to involve. Puel was part of this plan and you can see in his recent interview that his was brought in with a particular remit of how to transition the style.

I do agree with Dunge, however, about the “Leicester way” bit. I have seen this quite a few times in recent years when clubs have been recruiting managers: “Man United way, Everton way, West Ham way and even the Derby way.” It sounds pretentious at best or, when a team has struggled for a while makes you think: “(insert club) way …. WTF is that exactly?”

"The Derby way" was the one that came to my mind as well. Made them sound delusional.

Is ‘the Derby way’ a reference to how teams can get relegated with a record low points total. Ahhhh, we did it the Derby way.

With regards to the Rodgers way, let’s avoid pretence by calling it the Studied at Chelsea, honed at Swansea, adapted at Liverpool, evolved at Celtic and adjusted at Leicester kind of way.

I like the club moulding all levels around a way of playing as long as that way is right and suited to the first team players. Let’s be honest, that seems to be the way so no complaining here.

Let’s keep going with the Chelsea, Swansea, Liverpool, Celtic Leicester way 👌

I think we should be serious about this. I’ve heard that the new fitness and nutrition regime that Brendan has brought in allows players to perform based on ensuring that they maintain an optimum weight.

He’s calling it the Leicester weigh way

I've heard that we supporters are expected to adopt the concept as well. On Boxing Day we have to sing "who eat all the pork pies...."
