Dont think Last Crusade will be topped for me. It's so much fun and I never seem to tire of it.

Raiders is the best. A fantastic film with so many iconic moments and quotes. It has the best balance of all of them and contrary to opinion I actually find it more dark and adult than Temple, which is brought down by the addition of kids and a screaming goofy woman.

Crusade is the next best. Then Doom.

The one thing raiders does badly is continuity, Indy swims across to the u boat, which is in the middle of diving, then the map cuts to it going many miles to the island.

How did he get in? Or did he just hold his breath and hang on? And even if he did get in, he managed to hide in a u boat?!?! Creduality stretched very thin there....

It’s one of those films - no matter how many times I’ve seen it, I somehow miss the “continuity” and there are parts I can never quite stitch together from memory.

Official explanation was he attached himself to the periscope, which wasn't fully submerged. But yeah it's still a bit of a stretch

It's a stretch but I'd still take it over the raft scene in Temple or anything in Kingdom.

It comes second to the fridge scene for ridiculousness.

Can't really remember the crystal skull, but did he survive a nuclear explosion by hiding in a fridge???

posted on 4/1/20

it was made out of lead dammit!
I remember i told my friends that would've been better with Indy hanging of a Helicopter by the whip, and the Copter flies towards the camera with the explosion behind and as it gets closer Indy's comical screaming face takes up the whole screen....

Sounds coolly friend said, but one problem, No Helicopters around that time....

damn.

I think they proved somewhere that a lead lined fridge could survive a nuclear explosion. It's the fact it flies through the air like that and he falls out of it on impact with barely a scratch is what makes the scene so much worse.

tbf it's not stopped the avengers where tony stark has floating nano materials that he can call at any moment from his full ai that is somehow jet powered and able to fly with amazing precision.... the sort of technology from about 100 years in the future....

Indy get away with the foolishness because of its homage to Saturday Serials.
Now John McClane. New York Cop. Now jumping off the back of Harrier Jump Jets!
At the very least, you know Harrison cares about this character, and has stayed consistent trough all the films...

I am never gonna call BS on a comic book movie... they are allowed more or less anything.
I reckon there's more rules to Star Wars than Comic Books.
