Ljungberg: ‘We are here to help and the staff are trying to chip in but a decision has to be made so we can have the same resources as other clubs. When I say that they that say I have to wait and see.’

Fack sake, what a way to treat a legend.

Poor Freddie.

Just read the Arseblog player ratings...

They really played Driving Home For Christmas at FT?!

Merry Bantzmass, Gooners.

“ Given no managerial staff to support him”

You need to go to the games instead of sitting in your armchair quoting the pundits on Sky.

Do you actually believe it’s worth saying to Ljungberg who do you want to assist you when the club have no intention of making him full time manager!

You feckless twit.

I expect them to have a plan, instead of just sacking managers and taking weeks to search for a replacement. Especially seeing as the sacking happened the game after an international break.

18 days without any real coaching sessions is a little absurd, even if you don't think so.

Arseblog reckons the managerial decision is imminent.

Funnily enough, despite everything, this news kinda fills me with dread...

Yeah. 0 faith in the club anymore. Next few years are gonna be painful.

Do what Liverpool fans did to their previous two American owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks by driving Stan Kroenke away from Arsenal before it's too late.

The way they’ve handled the transition from emery so far has been atrocious. They sack a manager then clearly have no plan where to go from there. They appoint a man who has never been a manager, give him no coaching staff and make a newbie coach (mert) do 2 jobs at once, academy coach and assistant. It’s like the behaviour of a non league team.

It was obvious there was problems with Emery at the end of last season, they should have been preparing then, or if not early this season. At least they should have been talking to likes of Freddie and preparing an internal solution with full complement of staff ready to step in

The whole sorry situation has highlighted our issues which have ran back years, just total lack of leadership vision and action, almost laziness. The club basically let wenger run the entire operation for years, let him try sort it all and take all the flack for when it started going wrong, no one assisted him or drew up other paths we could take. Many fans could see we were on this trajectory years ago, but the club did nothing to stop it

Now the whole club is blowing in the wind, and we’ve lost more points and reputation due to inaction. The club hoped we’d get the new manager bounce to cover over their total lack of plan. Well that was never going to go well when you appoint a guy who’s never been a manager and doesn’t even have staff.

It’s a massive joke at the moment, the club have a huge job on their hands if they are to regain even the trust from the fans
