One thing I know is, gun to head, I'd back this Liverpool side to win the league against United's treble winners. In that way they're better but in terms of achievements they're obviously behind
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why?!!
The Man United 08 side was better, as a team and individually.
Tevez - Rooney - Ronaldo
Backed up by Carrick - Scholes - Hargreaves
As good as Liverpool are...
Would love to see it.

yes and you could argue football was a lot better back then with the sides at the top of the league a lot stronger. however on points and big IF they go unbeaten thats quite something and best prem winning season almost by default.

Scholes and Keane missed the CL final and we still won the thing.

As a premier league season achievement yes, if that’s what we’re saying,
If we’re saying best team versus any other, not a chance. I reckon United 08, Chelsea 08 and the Arsenal invincibles all do them. Heck, even City 19.

I don't think the side is beyond criticism. Take their midfield not a patch on the Arsenal or Man U midfields that were winning things. Liverpool's forward line is where all the damage is done.

yeah unfortunately we are rubbish though we have to win our next two to have a chance. youre gonna smash us in a few weeks and we are still yet to have Kane get his usual injury lay off.
the midfield, full backs and football played is worse than when spurs were a mid table side. we just have a couple of stars capable of getting us over the line against the weaker sides. until we put in a performance and get a positive result against a top side i will not be getting too excited.
Chelsea 04/05? They’d be in the mix too
This liverpool team would beat the treble winning man utd team.
This liverpool team would beat any previous liverpool teams.
Like someone said the quality and mentality is there, need to achieve what its capable of.
Truly superb team/squad, and carrying about 5 injuries to key players too.

See if they win three titles on the bounce first. Even Pep’s immense City side was unable to replicate that feat

That's the mark of a great side, one who wins it and has the hunger to retain it. Still a long way to go for this Liverpool side.
