You should've been down and man and us had a pen 1st half. Evened itself out

Think it’s evident that simply a lot of this squad are not good enough. We had a good game plan, but there wasn’t the quality to see it out for 90mins. With no transfers this team is probably mid table at best even with a good manager

Arteta has to be backed if they’re confident he’s the right man because with the squad as it is, we won’t get vastly better whoever is in charge

Was watching today in expectation. Thought Arteta would motivate the players. Truth is Chelsea were awful first half and Arsenal were in control without creating much. Chelsea improved second half and actually had a lot more of the game and just about edged it. The key against Chelsea though is not to give them space behind and once they tired of defending Chelsea found more room. Manager has changed but the players and their mentality are the same. Arsenal need to spend.

Jorginho's pull back was just one of those that you can / can't complain about either way. Thought ref was very pro Arsenal - especially first half.

If a decent midfielder became available then obviously we could do with them. But let's remember that midfield helped us dominate the first half. The problem was that we were too deep in the second half that comes from a lack of confidence from not winning for a while and trying to protect what we had.

Irrespective of if the referee was pro Arsenal or not which I dont think he was, that was a clear error on his part.

Maybe some Chelsea fans will feel Guendouzi should have been sent off too. Referee was just bad. Arsenal were not good enough. Chelsea got lucky. Hence the result.

Collectively Arsenal did play well, considering we lost a defender early on from a defence that needs investment already and no recognised fullbacks available there is something to build on.

While we can't legislate for players and referees making errors
--------------------
so glad arsenal fans are bringing this up. Was a woeful refereeing performance. The ref bought so many dives and flops from arsenal players, missed the guendozi tug and penalty first half which he should have seen a second yellow for. refreshing to see.

Was it even a foul for the free kick that led to the first goal? Ref had a pi$$ poor day. Always seems like you get yellow cards much cheaper than chelsea. Jorginho should've been off - no way this was not a 2nd yellow.

No humility in a lucky win where you were outplayed for nearly the entire game then? No surprise from a classless racist fan-base of c|-|avs.

Well done on forgetting about the penalty we didn't receive in the first half too.

We do, we're used to it now, 9/10 games the referee does his best to p|-|uk us. The previous game against Bournemouth was no different, ref destroyed our momentum by giving absurd decisions to them, otherwise we may well have gone onto win.

If a genuinely neutral fan had watched all Arsenal matches for the last decade they would see it exactly the same way, this isn't bias, nearly every referee in the Premier League loves to p|-|uk us.

Lloooool facking donut. Let me know if you want to debate. I’d be interested to know what penalty your talking about? Also how Chelsea were outplayed despite having more shots, shots on target, possession, passes, corners

No point in debating anything with you if you watched the full 90 minutes and genuinely think you deserved to win that game. You're blind. There was more of a shout for a penalty for us than there was for you, commentary team and pundits sad as much too.

Reading with interest at how different fans see different things. Jorginho - meh - could've seen red but how about Luiz and Guendouzi? And the penalty Chelsea might have had?

Arsenal did well to stifle Chelsea but had very few shots and far less possession. If anybody deserved to win the game, it was probably Chelsea although they did not look at all threatening first half and probably wouldn't have scored without that little bit of luck.

However, Chelsea maybe deserved their luck which has deserted them in the last few weeks.

Agree with the above. Nice to read a level headed post.

I think our biggest chances were azpilicuetas header and tammys header. Tammys for me being a sitter that he needed to just put either side of leno.
I think the referee lost control of the game early and was buying a lot of arsenal players going down easily, and booked someone too early. He then missed the guendozi pull back, no different to body checking somebodys run) and the luiz high boot which thankfully kante swerved away from.

What a clown you are.

A level headed post is one that agrees with all your tripe is it?

Go to Specsavers and then try watching the game again you pleb, gifted an equaliser scored by a player that shouldn't have been on the pitch and somehow missed the more obvious penalty shout that was for Arsenal not Chelsea.

Not to mention your players continuously fouling us and stamping studs on our feet all game, you could have had more sent off.

posted on 30/12/19

'Arsenal players going down too easily' says it all, blind idiot you've just proven yourself to be.

posted on 30/12/19

An example of going down too easily would be Abraham and exactly why no penalty was given as the VAR check and commentators agreed.

According to you Chelsea players making late fouls and crushing studs down on our player's feet and ankles is going down too easily - of course.

Seriously go get your eyes tested. 20/20 bias vision.
