Liverpool had to get the decision seeing how VAR is being used for offsides thid deason but I think next season it needs to change. Only a foot/thigh or head should be deemed markers for offside imo none of this armpit or hands business.
VAR was always going to have some issues at first but I think with some tuning it'll be fair for all.
The fact they had to see if the ref blew before it crossed the line blows my mind though...

The Liverpool goal is the exact sort of incident that VAR needs to faeck off from. The Wolves players stopped because the ref gave an incorrect decision, then the goal stands. There is no fair outcome from that, one team loses out, but surely you have to go with the defensive side in that instance.
I think Shelvey had one of these earlier in the season in a game that ended 1-0. The best thing would be to get rid of VAR for everything bar offside.

no wolves player stopped.

the offside. well.... its ruining the game isnt it. Norwich lost 2 points because of this v spurs. we can afford to go in here at 0-0 and come back out and go for it

Like the game yesterday where a player went down and played continued, you play to the whistle.
What I don't understand is that the ref got it wrong and seemed sure he was right but didn't whistle immediately.
If he had, irrespective of the fact he got it wrong, the goal would've been disallowed.
Is this why refs don't blow up straight away? I'm guessing so. I've always thought the rule was stupid cos soon someone will get injured badly when a ref who is sure he is 100% right should surely blow his whistle.
I guess in this instance I can see how it works so the fair decisions made but the more I think about these things the more I realise I've no idea what the rules are to a game I've played for 40 years 😂

An armpit is part of the torso. If you draw a straight line up a body there is no possible way for the armpit to be extended further than the shoulder. If an armpit is offside then the shoulder is also offside.
The points still stands. Hands and arms cannot be offside. Feet can, and so the wolves player was offside.
Offside rule is there to stop goalhanging. How is a toe nail ahead of the defender goal hanging? It isn't.
I think they might get rid of VAR at the end of the season, we’ve had a trial and match going fans of all teams unanimously seem to hate it. It has ruined the enjoyment of the game, time to bin it.
