I was in Surfer's Paradise in Australia, I was living in Sydney and holidaying in Queensland...
Oh, what a perfect day!
Sat at home with a dead hamster on my lap trying to revive it for my distraught 8-year old son.
Quite possibly the goal we have scored in my supporting years that i havent been able to jump up and celebrate!
I was on the couch at my manu supporting girlfriend, now wife's, house and I still remember giddily calling my dad at full time out of sheer joy at what had just happened

In fact, I watched the Boxing day test match between England and Australia, which England won and was plastered and we were singing with the barmy army and we all did pub crawl, singing England songs but to their credit the Aussies even though they lost they were good sports. I flew to Queensland the day after the match, still noursing a hang over, and we stayed at Burleigh Heads, my favourite place after Noosa in Australia.
Unfortunately we stayed few more years before due to family reasons, we came back to the good old grey England.
Was at my house watching with Walsall White.
Got some celebratory t shirts made, still have one

In the background whilst on MSN.
In the ground, made page 3 of the mirror the next day giving the two fingered salute,
At home with beer...
I feared the worst.. you could hear the Man U fans singing ‘you’re not famous anymore.. by the end of the game you could hear the Leeds fans singing ‘we’re not famous anymore”..
the whistle went and I burst into tears 😂😂😂
True Story 👍
Seems kind of tin pot to go on about it, but at the time we had been through really tough times and seemed like light at the end of the tunnel that season in L1.
We should have won by more than a goal as well.
I was there. Was a bizarre game. We had necked a load of pints but them couldn't get a drink anywhere in Manchester.
The goal going in was odd. We were bottom left of the away end and because it trickled in there was almost a delayed reaction starting from the far right top corner which then filtered down to us.
I think i was on here, doing an Article saying, 10 years ago, where were you?
I was there .... amazing day .... ice rink outside before & after the game
I just watched it at home. No beer and no dead hamsters.

What a day.... Fell out of loft putting Xmas decks away that morning.
Drove to $***chester and negotiated the icy streets on the approach to the $hithole, with a broken wrist and then had the most enjoyable, sober 90 minutes of my life.
Afterwards, drove home and went straight to A&E to get hand sorted.
I then went on an LUFC forum and posed the question: ‘Will we all be still talking about this day in 10 years time?’
Great day, MOT.
it was so long ago have no idea where i was watching it, probably in the pub with a shed load of scoom fans, what a result / day
We got over to Manchester at 8am and was in a pub in Chorlton, about 300 Leeds in there.
Icy as hell and got marched to the ground by the police....quite a few people decked it!
The game was a blur, preferred the Spurs day out in the next round tbh
