Yeah I agree with all of that Desi. Clough bought some awful players but that’s inevitable when you are shopping for bargains. Sammon was the most notable but he cost a fraction of what we have subsequently spent on players who haven’t contributed more than he did. But then he refused to sign Aden Flint on a point of principle when (Alfreton? Matlock?) upped their price by about 25K. Part of the reason for him leaving was that he didn’t want players who the club had identified and he fell out with Rush about it. I think it was Zak Whitbread who was signed literally the day after Clough left and before we had a new manager.

Rush certainly feathered his nest while he was here.

No wonder we're skint.

Clough always wanted Billy Sharp. There’s a chance we might finally see him at Derby if rumours are to be believed. I wonder whether part of the reason for Marriott’s inclusion for the last two matches has been to get him in the shop window for transfer.

If Marriott was in the shop window for the last game he will be in the bargain bucket after that. Missing 4 relatively easy chances while on the tele doesn't usually enhance a striker's value.

Cocu just wanted to win games. We certainly don't have the luxury a "shop window"..............

I've been keen for Derby to get Scandinavian talent in for years, they speak English, would easily adapt, relatively cheaper than English talent and there's been success with Swedish and Norwegian players on our shores.

What nationality was our old friend Bjørn Otto Bragstad?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same as Lars Bohien or Ole Gunnar Solskjær. For every failed transfer there's a successful one too.

I think Bohien did alright when he was at Derby but not entirely sure?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lars Bohinen did well at Derby until he posted something criticising Jim Smith on social media (new stuff then ). Jim Smith made one of his fe mistakes then, He more or less banned the Norwegian to DCFC's ultimate loss.

And Shinnie (was he pre-Lamopard?) - took him a while to break in but was making great progress - and he will be back......

I can't exactly remember Heb. But he was signed very early in the close season I know that. I am looking forward to seeing him fit again. How is he progressing?

Shinnie was Lampard.

It’s funny but we were desperate to get Shinnie and Beilik back and they are both good players but Bird and Knight will take some shifting. The‘be both been excellent and certainly a bit part of Dowell and Paterson being sent back.

FA Cup eh! We could try to predict the result, scorers and so on, or, even have a thread covering the match.

But that might just all be a distraction from the league.........

Yes I'm very pleased for the Dale. I think they will put the 1st team out for the replay.

So who is managing Chelsea now?

Danny Ward played in goal for Leicester, good keeper, mark my words.

Vydra came on in the 2nd half for Burnley and Ibe wasn't in Bournemouth's squad at all. Butterball and Johnson got starts and Carson and Grant were on their benches.

Will is injured and I don't think the loony will be in a very good mood tonight. Couldn't beat Tranmear at home.

Not so much not winning VC, it's being 3-0 up at HT and letting it slip.
