Election year too. US Presidents are always more popular when at war.

It’s amazing isn’t it?! You’d think they’d sort healthcare, homelessness etc but nah, what’s a little war between friends!

Its always been a bit of a backwards country politically. There are a lot of things I like about America, but I can never get on board with their blind nationalistic tendencies and how they use it to blur what is actually important.

The world is a bit of a shambles at the moment.

War might not be such a bad thing. What with over population, Austrailia on fire, global warming, cancer, etx etc..

Chance for a fresh start, provided we dont go nuclear. In which case, see yes all in the next life

Ordinary people knows nothing what’s happening behind the scenes these days. Iran trying to consolidate their influence over Iraq, which obviously doesn’t go down well with the USA politics and economics. So, in grand scheme of things, It won’t matters whether Trumps is in power or not. They will be guerrilla fights in Iraq, sadly the long suffering will will continue for the Iraqi people

How brave and noble of you to say this whilst not having to suffer any of the horrendous consequences of war.

Seriously though this crap will continue because of the Military industrial complex.

The war profiteers are pushing this make no mistake, Trump is nothing but a pawn.

Look at a map of the Middle East, look at all the oil producing countries and you'll see they're either allies of America or under American control....apart from Iran.

Forget all the rhetoric about 'Freedom' and other BS, this is all about oil.

I think the world is so chaotic, with so many influences and factors, that even the politicians know little of what is happening behind the scenes.

Look at our current PM.

Sadly we’ve also become a backward thinking country.

1000s of Americans could die fighting a proxy war based on nothing but oil and strategic military locations in the Me.

And the parents of dead soldiers will still vote trump

I blame Canada.

This would never have happened had they not riled him up cutting him out of Home Alone.

It's hard to think how our MPs might react... Imagine, say, Dominic Raab* was in Eygpt and was killed by an Iranian drone, of course there would be outrage. The language used might be different, but the outcome would be the same.

*and yes, I know he is hardly like for like... But they have similar levels of standing, by all accounts.

Saw this on FB earlier.

Trump “Alexa, how many miles have I ran today”

Alexa “ok, sending missiles to Iran today”

Seems there were missiles targeted at the American embassy last night in Iraq.

Whilst America would blow Iran out of the water, the Middle East will retaliate, and the whole of the West will suffer. Europe being far more accessible it's likely terror attacks here will rise.

I hope we stay the feck out of this one, as should NATO.

I'm sure there's a link to Saudi in here somewhere.
