January transfer window

Yes it's surely time to find a permanent home for Bright. Also Rafa Mir, Leo Bonatini, Phil Ofosu-Ayeh and Roderick Miranda need to be transferred or their contracts terminated to get them off the books.

Difficult to see us getting much if any money for any of those but I would have thought the club would be keen to get them off the payroll. I suspect all of them will suffer a pay drop wherever they go to so they would probably all want to see out their contracts unless we can agree a pay off

I'm sure Bonatini would be worth a few bob. We saw for ourselves what a talent he is but he has been under achieving for the last couple of seasons.
It reminds me of the situation with Traore who went from club to club under achieving until he found the Manager who had the ability and the patience to bring out the true footballer in him. I'm certain if Leo found the right club he would flourish again.

No, nothing. Looks like wolfie will be right all along again, and we won't be bringing any BETTER players in and Nuno won't be working with a BIGGER squad.

Early days.
We leave it to the last minute.

A couple of snippets from Tim Spiers yesterday, who is occasionally reliable; no deal yet with Fiorentina and Cutrone, not actually much substance in that rumour but Cutrone did go back to Italy to think about his options. Now back training in Compton.

Interest in Hwang cooling until summer at least.

Makes sense, Salzburg have lost Minamino and Haaland and still have a Europa campaign. Can you imagine us selling Jota, Jiminez and Traore in the same week ?!

Well, Nuno does like to work with a small squad.

Yes but we all need to offer our help to the club, you could run the catering yes ?

Looks like the Cutrone deal will still happen in the very near future. Still not clear how long Jota will be out for. So we are really thin on the ground in attack. Hope there’s a plan to bring players in during the next few weeks because we are only an injury or two away from looking a much weaker outfit

Cutrone to Fiorentina now a done deal

posted on 10/1/20

With the Cutrone to Fiorentina, Cavaleiro to Fulham and Costa to Leeds deals, Wolves are recouping between £45m and £50m. Should be enough in the kitty for some investments

Yet you still can't but one in the club shop unless you're a XXXL or XS. Adidas have been poor at getting actual stock in to the club.

I'm not sure it's about what's in the kitty DJ, it's about who's available that can strengthen the squad. Cutrone and Vallejo didn't work from out transfers last summer, so we don't want to make the same mistake in a transfer window that has less pickings.

Loan deals would be my way to go and wait until there are better players available in the summer, to splash any cash.

The name Gedson Fernandez has cropped up again. West Ham have agreed a deal in principle but it would be a disaster for him if he went there as a 21 year-old Portuguese working for a Scottish manager in East London.
If Benfica want to loan him out, the obvious destination for the lad would be Wolverhampton in my view. Pity Uncle George isn't his agent or it would probably be a done deal by now.

Wolfgang could sew 2 XXXL together? Maybe that's why shirt sales are so high?
