From literally the bottom to the top.

And we’ve not broke our backs in the process.

FSG have built up a self sustaining football Empire.

Indeed, and long may it continue. And at this moment in time, there is no reason why it won't.

The appointment after Klopp will be the factor in how long success carries on for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That’s why I wish people would ease up on the Gerrard talk.

Let’s make the right appointment - not a romantic one.

True. Hopefully he will stay even beyond his current extension.

FSG was the best thing to happen to this club since Shanks.

This could be an era. After the last decade I conpletely trust FSG to take us forward to a glorious future.

Yeah even if Gerrard wins a few league titles with Rangers, I will not be convinced he's the right man.

Yep, we won the most last decade so it's only fair to let someone else have a go.
Good luck

Big test will be 2-3 years down the line with Bobby, Mane, Salah, Virj, Hendo, Wij, Matip who are either approaching 30 or are in late 20s. Some will still produce but some will start to slide. Will be interesting to see how Klopp phases them out.

I'd imagine in 3 years time it'll be a very different lineup.

FSG as a group has gone from acquiring the Red Sox 18 years ago for $700m into having a $6.6bn sports empire in 2019 - the 3rd most valuable globally per forbes. They've made a 848% value increase and have 4 world series, 1 CL, 1 CWC, 1 European Super cup and 1 ELC.

They made mistakes at the beginning but they were honest about that and changed it quickly. They are involved and J Henry seems like a likeable chap especially after his "what are they smoking" comment. His mrs is always tweeting about is as well.

They appointed the bet coach in the world and kept our stadium which is a massive plus to us.

They also recruited and promoted the one, the only............... Micheal Edwards.

FSG broke the curse of the Bambino (Red Sox hadn't won the World Series since 1918) in baseball, which was absolutely massive.

Almost like us winning the league after 30 years. Brilliant at what they do.

FSG deserve huge praise for dragging us out the mire after Waldorf and Statler. Biggest things for me was appointing Klopp and Edwards then staying at Anfield.

Yep 100% agree, as much as I love Gerrard I was happy to see him go to Rangers to learn his trade.

It probably wouldn't have happened as klopp is klopp but if Stevie was still at the club and we'd a few bad results some people would be saying give Stevie the job just cause he was a top player.

If Stevie wins the league with rangers this season that's a great achievement and will go to show he might well be a good manager but he needs several more years, and to be successful before he'd even be in a conversation to replace klopp.

Remember all the FSG out articles on here a few years back, especially when Brendan was in charge, not seeing many now!

FSG took a risk, I think it was a similar risk to the risk we've taken with minamino.

AKA cant we really lose here?

But I think they've learned a lot over a protracted period of time about the sport and about how to win in it. They made mistakes in doing so with players and committees and managers etc but you have to learn.

They have applied a ruthless commercial attitude and there's no freebies for anyone going to anfield but the experience is where it is as a result of what they've done.

I do think once the anfield road end is done the overall experience in the top tier of the main stand will improve but it will always be disconnected form the kop to some extent.

In the end they have a guy in mike gordan who is interested more than just commercially and have applied the lessons learned over the past 5 years to drive where we are now.

That's all about money etc. For me sustaining the organisation is thier next challenge. Not just squad. Getting klopp to sign up is great but thats stability for now. How they apporach keeping the standards high in terms of recruitment and coaching on an ongoing basis so that trent or jones are not the last kids on the conveyor belt is alwyas the challenge. In another 5 years what they've done today might show fruit there.

Anfield- please deliver anfield road end. get it done.
Kirkby - great. much needed.
Organisation - flow of coaches through academy and up to senior level? not seeing it yet. linders has done great. wheres the next linders bringing on u16s, u18s, u23s. Critchley has been in place for quite a while. is it working... it seems to be.

Can we see an even tighter integration of first team, u23s and u18s in terms of style and tactical development.

Can an u18 step into a senior squad and look like they were there always? big challenge.

They made mistakes at the beginning, nothing bad enough to want them out, but they’ve massively improved since.

Edwards’ appointment, our transfer strategy, how we’ve handled selling players who wanted out and the stadium have all been class.

Neither veiw is acceptable to me.

Don't white wash it to make them into the perfect owners who never put a foot wrong (they will make mistakes in the future, we all do)

Don't shout FSG out cos they didn't do what you wanted 5 years ago or whenever.

They really rally did a poor job in 2014/15. but they've moved on ayre and changed things and while rodgers then had to go as he had his own learnign to do everyone's ended up in a better place.

Rodgers for example has trophies in scotland to look back on and a bundle of hard won experience.

We have by far the best manager we could dream of.

ayre is wherever ayre is (where is he?)

look Ian ayre is a red through and through, he tired his best too but we had to do better.

For me the natural successor would be Pep Ljinders in 2024, and maybe Gerrard could come in as his assistant with an eye to the future. Continuity breeds success

How many times has a number 2 replacing a number 1 worked?

Gerrard isn't going to be assistant anywhere. He's a manager now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Then he won't be manager here hopefully.
