No, no need to worry, Heaton, McGinn, Wesley possibly Targett as well all out, no replacements in and Drinkwater I think is Cup Tied
Comfortable win for Leicester
Nyland
Guilbert Konsa Mings N.Taylor
Nakamba D.Luiz Hourihane
El Ghazi Kodija Grealish
wont be far off the starting line up for Villa, and its not very good
I was at that game at Villa against Spurs..... We lost 2-0 but I think we got promotion?
Yes, we did. If I remember rightly, we brought in Gerry Daly on loan, and his experience helped the young team over the line. Maybe that is what we need now?
Depends who Brendan is going to select. Looking at who played against Wigan, I reckon it's going to be near a full strength side so hopefully we can do well.
Whoever goes through will be facing Man City by the looks of things.
I think the last time we won this cup under MON, we beat Villa in the Semi..........

Yep, this all shows up our sadly depleted resources. Heaton and McGinn have been central to the team and Wesley is our main forward, with Kodjia out of favour. Maybe won't miss Targett so much.
Does Dean Smith field his strongest team in the (faint) hope of reaching Wembley, or does he reserve that for the Man C match on Sunday in the (faint) hope of winning that?
If he wants a chance at winning this I think he has to go for the approach which won at Burnley, namely 3-4-3. More defensive than is his norm, but it suits who we have available.
I'm not at all excited about this because even if we get through we won't beat City, just means spending loads of money going to Wembley to see us lose. That probably sounds very pessimistic but it's also realistic, they're too good for us and we will bottle it again.
I took my Spurs sporting girlfriend at the time to the Villa game ....it was a long drive back to London. I felt so sorry Wilson my favorite LCFC of that time.
Arro why the downbeatness a day trip to Wembley and a chance to show Man city what we can do its a final
I’m kind of with Arro. For whatever reason I can only see us being outclassed against Man City.
I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion we’ll beat Villa despite their problems, but if we do I hope we go the Wembley and at least give it a go.
Going and not at least giving Man City a game like we did in the league would be very disappointing. Hope I’m wrong.
Anyway, Villa tonight. With away goals no longer counting in the competition, any win is a good result really. Ideally by a couple of goals.
That should be the aim but it wouldn’t surprise me if Villa her after us and cause us a few problems. Especially out wide and with Grealish between the lines which every team knows are our weak spots.
Hopefully we’ll have enough going forward to male them worry more about that and push them back.
Not as easy as anyone thinks this though...
