“According to the accurate reports of our sources in this area, at least 80 American troops were killed and some 200 others were wounded, who were immediately transferred out of the airbase by helicopters," said an informed source at the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, according to IRIB.
One theory is the yanks have enormous stockpiles of ammunition much of which has a sell by date. What better way of cycling old stock for new than by starting a conflict in some far flung corner of the planet or flog it off cheap to dodgy countries, regimes or dealers to start their own war then step in and blast them to hell with what's left over from the boot sale. Has a ring of truth to it.
If I was America Id be saying they had zero casualties to stop a backlash at home as well.

Currently reading Noam Chomsky's Who Rules the World. Some rather fascinating insights in that. He is very critical of Obama, particularly concerning his stance on nuclear arms by wanting to put an end to it all in the middle east, whilst meanwhile spending over a billion US dollars in developing his own nuclear weapons

Massive casualties like that is not something that can be hidden these days. Any casualties would eventually come out.

I mean there is on average 1 maybe 2 commercial airliners that go down a year? It just so happens this happens in Iran at the exact same time they are launching missiles...
The airline has never had a plane go down in its history, air crash experts are already saying the way the pieces lay it's either a severe impact or something happened in the air. Flight data shows no issues until 8000 ft and then loses all communications...
Barring an incredible coincidence it's a missile strike.
