No thanks. I get more enjoyment watching England than I do Spurs at the moment and they probably have more chance of winning something than we do, which is saying something.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No way. Spurs all day long. England have been rubbish for over 50 years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
trying to do the maths on this. spurs have not won anything in 12 years. With an average amount of competitions being 4. That is opportunities.

Since 1966 there have been 54 years, with an average of one competition every 2 years. So 27 opportunities.

so spurtle is infact correct that england are more likely based on the stats.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So let`s put this to the test then.

Since 1966 Spurs have won
4 FA Cups
2 European Trophies
4 League Cups

10 Trophies

Have also appeared as losing finalists in
1 FA Cup
2 European Finals
2 League Cup Finals

So have appeared in 15 Finals.

England meanwhile have appeared in

0 Finals
winning 0 Trophies.

I think I will stick to supporting Spurs thank you very much.

Oh and just for the record I was at Wembley in 1966 to see England lift their one and only trophy. Probably the only fella on JA606 to be at the match. You are indeed conversing with a JA606 history maker.

Why would you change the metric? seems odd when i literally broke it down for you, and concluded that england have won something in their last 27 tries, spurs though have taken 48. You have not taken into account amount of competitions or anything.

Bizarre. If England national team were a club side they indeed might have won more than 1 trophy in the last 50 years. As it stands they play for 2 weeks every couple of years. Spurs get a chance of 4 trophies every year.

hope this makes sense.

Sandy, yes I stand by Vardy being world class.. premier league medal, scores for fun, works harder than any forward in the premier league.

he's out performing Kane this season.

I'm surprised you mentioned the lower league thing Sandy.. surely you're only as good as your current form?

not sure i agree with that at all. he has been for 2 of the last 4 seasons. Kane is barely world class either, hasnt won anything, cant stay fit and drifts in and out of goal scoring form. Shame for Vardy he peaked so late in his career could have been England number 1 striker before Kane came through

I just think vardy is near enough the best at what he does, runs the channels, has a ridiculously high conversion rate(kane and aguero more shots per game etc), is absolutely rapid, presses so well.

Hasn't he got the record for consecutive games scored in? He was the main source of goals when they won the league.

I think hes class, and thats all while being in a second rate team.

...doesn't tell the whole story does it. Leicester without vardy would likely finish bottom half most seasons.

181 starts in the pl
97 goals

Fantastic ratio. Probably gets less chances than any other top striker

also taken half the amount of penos.

tbf kane wouldnt get into their teams either, maybe real...Vardy is the best at what he does, i would have loved to see him at a top team. Would get 30 a season imo. Only teams he wouldnt get into are the ones kane wouldnt.

Kane can use the Euros to build up match fitness ahead of the new Spurs season

Kane is light years in front of Vardy. Vardy is just a big fish in a small pond, having a couple of decent seasons towards the end of his career.

Vardy has only once scored more than 20 goals in the Prem. Son at the end of his Spurs career will have probably have scored more Prem goals than Vardy.
